That's a rather small minded viewpoint. What we need is not atheists, but open minded individuals, no matter their relegion.

Mad Ugh. *Barely resrtains herself from saying something rude about that....(deep breaths).... language*

Why does it seem to me like so many people say "Yes, gay marriage should be legal... No, really... I'm straight, don't get me wrong, but there's nothing wrong with being gay." Why do they have to throw that part in? My best guess is to preserve their self-image. The most common insult where I live is "gay". He's so gay. She's so gay. That shirt, this music is gay. That picture of me looks sooo gay.

It strikes me as sick that society has taken religious prejudices (to repeat: religious prejudices) and snowballed them to the point of openly shunning 'normal' (does a 'minority' count as 'normal'? What does count as 'normal'?) people for being homosexual.

Doubt Wretched theocracy. *muttermutter*

*Agrees* People feel this need to defend themselves, seperate from the "differentness." Which annoys me. Not that I'm not also guilty of it, on a level. The only people that matter are those who don't give a da--, anyway.

It scares me the way that culture ...if you can give it that name.... takes over. I hear people say 'gay' this and 'gay' that so often that I'll find it seeping into my subconscience. Agh.

A friend of mine has a theory (she was joking because she was mad at her current boyfriend, but still....) that everyone is actually homosexual, we just pretend we aren't so we can reproduce. Laughing Struck me as funny.

The "plug and outlet" arguement seems to be directed at the natural functions of humanity- how we're built, and why we're built that way. How: Man/Woman. Why: Reproduction.

What this says to me is that homosexuality is veiwed as unnatural. And on that point, I must beg to differ. If it's unnatural, why is it such a part of society? And not only in the modern day. (I seem to recall a study somewhere about gay sheep, but of course I've forgotten it.)

Whether or not homosexuality is intended by nature doesn't matter either way. Were machines intended by nature? Was pumping fossil fuels from the ground intended by nature? As humns, much of behavior alreday is what might be called "unnatural."

Besides that, there are enough humans on this planet anyway, in my personal belief. Again, on a personal note, if in the future I decide to have kids (very much not planning to) I can't see how their decision to be gay or not would have an extreme affect on my life. In small ways, yes... but these same small things are encountered in *any* lifestyle choice- most especially in one that isn't yet fully accepted by society. (Coming first to min;, interracial marraiges were once regarded as going against nature in the US and elsewhere.)

^^ Sorry if I'm babbling.

the human bodies were designed to mate - male and female. Two males cannot produce a child, nor can two females. You date to find a mate - simply put. Whatever you believe (evolution, religion, etc...) a child comes from the union of a man and woman. Marriage leads to reproduction. Homosexuals cannot mate. This goes against the design of the human body, and thus the purpose of marriage.

Think of this: what will you do in the future when you have kids ( or the ones you have now ) if they decide to be Gay? How will this affect you...?[/i]

Oh come on! The purpose of marriage is to reproduce? That's sad. And i was thinking most people marrie because they love eachother. stupid me...
Gay people can't have children...i don't want children (But i still want to marrie, ain't that odd?) so i go against the design of the human body too!
You know why it is so great about being human? Because you can seperate yourself from most natural instincts and you have a brain to think for your own. And i'm tired of people that think: "it natural so it's good". If they want to marrie let them marrie! I will never have kids, but if one of them would be gay....so what? I really don't understand why people make so much trouble about it. Just mind your own business. And as long as other people (and you) don't hurt anyone: leave them alone and let them be happy...
