Queer Eye annoys me. It's like... exploiting gayness? Helping build stereotypes?
Gay marriage should be legal. There is nothing that is moraly wrong with it, in my opinion. Even if there WERE, denying gay marriage is denying peoples rights.
Isn't BASIC HUMAN FREEDOM one of the most important things that THERE IS??? (Yes!!) _________________ i>you

Kinda strikes me funny how everybody wants to use Rights as a reason for gay marriage. As I see it we are slowly becoming the land of the not so free. Look around, slowly they are making laws that take away our freedoms and rights. Makes one wonder what the future holds for our so called freedom and rights. _________________ "We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey."

Exactly. That's what I'm so scared of. The Patriot Act, among other frightening bits of legislation, and the increased control that the government seems to be exerting into our lives. The people need to be the government; not be controlled by the government. The White House, and the federal government, seem to be slowly removing States Rights.
Like when the Mayor of San Francisco (and the PEOPLE of San Francisco) decided to OK gay marraige, the US government stepped in. _________________ i>you

| I think the guys on that show are fake, myself... |
Heh. Well im a big fan of the show and from what I know IRL about them and by watching every episode I don't think this at all, but then im a fan so I would say that.

| I know that two of the guys from that show are not gay. There was an article in People Magazine where they had said the weren't. |
They are all gay and have all partners in which most of them are ready to marry. The media could be wrong though, but im sure they arn't. Most of them are seen with their partners all the time. You can tell a bit by the show as well by the way they act, but then again they could be very good actors.
OK, im back on topic :P |

Okay, my take on this is a bit unusual.
Basically, I think that the government should recognize civil unions between gay couples, but that marrige should be determined by the individual religion, and that the state would recognize that marrige as a civil union. That way, you still get all the government benifits without having to step on all the religious toes along the way.
I don't think there will be any way that society as a whole would accept "gay marrige." Hopefully the civil union would act to give the gay couples a legal recognized partnership. It's not the best solution, but it's potentially a workable one. _________________ "People who are easily offended need to be offended more often."

That actually sounds like a better solution. I just wonder if the gay community would find it acceptable. It would be great if they did. _________________ "We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey."
