The Da Vinci Code

The Hype over the Da Vinci code has been greater than ever lately with the release of the movie to theaters. So now I ask you. Do you think that what is in the Da Vinci code (That mary magdelene married jesus and they had kids and that jesus was a prophet not a god) is the truth or just fiction.

I think its fiction and people should stop freaking out over it.

I believe parts of it are true...

Maybe that's because I don't believe the christian side of the story of Jesus, or maybe I'm just naive...

But I'd like to beleive it's possible... I don't beleive the church is trying to hide the trued story, that's part is probably fiction, but, the fact that Mary Magdelen married Jesus... I think it's at least very plausible.

And I always get confused as to why the Christians talk a lot about Jesus (I don't want to insult anyone, apoligies if I do), But he is jewish, right?

Anyways, I hope that makes sense, that's my opinion and point of view.

But I do agree that people should stop freking over it... But it's not just the people who agree with the theory of Mary Magdelen and Jesus getting married that are freaking...

Fiction or not? I do not have enough knowledge to give the propper answer.

I guess it depends also on ones point of view and believes (Jezus is part of religion). My mother for instance, would think it would be blasphemy to acknowledge Sophie as a grand-grand (etc) child of Jezus, I remember she hated the movie Jezus Christ Superstar because there also was a love story in it between Mary Magdalena and Jezus and I would have to clean my mouth if I even suggested such a thing.

But, does it really matter? Jezus was and is of great importance to many and the book and the movie are entertaining and a wonderful mix-up of all sort of relgion, cultural and fiction facts.

I enjoyed both, knowing some aspects are facts and thinking some facts are fiction.

But for me life goes on, as it did before. So it did not cause a thunder in my believes or non believes.

Yay!! I finally meet someone who isn't angered by the book/movie!!

Apologies, I'm just very excited about it.

I love the book, and I think people should just enjoy the read, the adventure, the action, the puzzles, the mysteries, everything about it is just awsome!! And people should be allowed to beleived what they want wihtout having to worry about what others think.

I love the book too! I think its a great peice of literature and as for the truthfullness in it, well I don't care. IF its a good book who cares. I didnt like the movie to much. It was too slow and they changed the ending completely which made me mad.

Yeah I'm not going to see it, my brother did and he said if i do watch it, wait till it come on TMN, others\wise, It's just not worth it.

But I don't even want to watch it because I have a completely different mental image of Robert Langdon, so I don't want that to change.

Yeah I HATE tom hanks and he ruins langdon. In the movie though they make langdon mega smart. Hes just like 'hey i know the answer' immediately without thinking. Its gay.
