look at dragon's world: a fantasy made real to see an animated assumption of dragons mating in midair, i think it was a beautiful "dance" or mating ritual that they had _________________ Fly you High and Far,

I think that is merely a piece of fiction to be honest. I think that when dragons would reproduce, that they would to it safely on the ground. But I'm open to any kind of thought of how this would occur. I just don't think in mid air is the safest way to go. |

It would be hard, but not impossible, many animals hold a sort of ceremony to their mating, dances, flashes, sound... And the creature which doesnt do it correctly or doesnt do it as nice as the others, simply gets rejected.
I can see that happening to dragons, now I wont act and say they could do a lot of twirly weird cool acts together, but I think if they had their wings spread, and they had flown around together (or just danced do show what they were worth).. That the mating could be done simply by hovering....
It would mean the mating itself would be short and quick, but ey, it could happen ^^... One on top, the other upside down bellow it. _________________ Avatar by Vanodalv. Wooh |

I don't think that that would have worked, because it would be practically impossible to fly upside down. I think that if they could both maintain vertical positions (Head up, tail down) it would be possible to mate while hovering, though. _________________ Happy Fourth of July everybody! Yes, I think I recognize that from it.
That would be a sort of... stupid way to do it. What happens if they can't get their talons apart? They fall to their deaths. There are easier way to prove your trust: Falling back and being caught, bowing or showing vulnerable spots in any other way, or maybe have one be the other's "eyes" and guide them with their eyes closed around some obstacles. Kinda fun to run them into things on purpose. _________________ Happy Fourth of July everybody! actually it shows a stronger bond of trust than ,as SkieFireYokana said let one be the others eyes, because if they do gget their talons locked together then then they will both die together as real mates should _________________ Dragoness of the Wild and the Free
