It's also a question of which games and what type of intelligence.
Example: The Myst series. If any set of cames will increase your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities it's them. |
No, the Myst series teaches you how to be frustrated and use gamefaqs. I never managed to do anything in Myst... _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |

Im a straight A student and I dont even play strategy games, fps's are more my thing. And I think with the more than an hour thing the kids that they had play for more than an hour was probably just not as good of students, video-games does not rot the brain. The only negative effects I believe is in effect with them is, no exercise, eyes can go bad if to close to tv, obsession (which can happen with almost anything), and carpel tunnel. Also, anybody play halo 2 on live? making a skirmish team. _________________ When the going gets tough, use grenades. |

| I don't think video games rot the mind, but they do distract you. They are an excellent place to procrastinate, serving the same effect. |

I'd say it all depends on how much you play video games, and how much of your life they control. _________________ Live simply, so that others may simply live.

...And on whether that control is a BAD thing! I'm gonna be making money off of my addiction to video games. _________________ The statement below this one is false.
