every dimond is different and they can be traced to their point of origin by their impurities, the difference is likly only in the color and grade (industrial verses jewlery). When my grandfather died My mom's step mother sold the vast majority of his lapidary tools and his big rock saws. (I'm at least the third or forth generation of rock enthuasit on mother's side of the family). But I remember how they used to have large jars of geodes and crystals and evan opals beside the rock saw out in the side yard none of the opals were realy jewlery grade though some were fairly fancy .
other recient additions to the combined rock collection are some Malichite and chrysocolla from luisha Mine in the Republic of Congo, and some Stilbite crystals from Millcreek in Polk County Oregon.
Found a site who's inventory is like that of the now nonexistant fossilrocks.com. costomer reviews though are rather scarce so it may be iffy. http://mcculloughfossils.com/index.html _________________ say hello! at zahz's keep;P |

My stones as well as looking pretty are a working collection. So they all live in a big 'gem bowl' on my altar when its set up or in numerous tote bags when its not. _________________ The Dragon: The Nature of Spirit, the Spirit of Nature

I am new here, and am on my way to the new dragons to introduce myself - I promise! I too collect rocks, crystals and minerals. I am more attracted to the green stones than others, but adore all the crystals and stones that I have collected over the years. My other major treasure hord would be jewelry, mostly sterling silver. I think pictures would spice this thread up nicely, but I don't have pics of my stones either... *shame on me*...
well, now to the introduction threads.... |

All the rocks that I pick up are completely utterly worthless. From a georgish viewpoint anyway. But that way no one will want to steal them. They're mostly normal speckled rocks that look sparklier (made-up word?) than most, there's some quartz and mica, and one tiger's-eye. _________________ The statement below this one is false.
