There is a recipe that uses a form of potash lye with birch bark that gives Lutefisk a milder flavor. Plus, it is served with gravy and all that adds to the flavor.
It has a soapy flavor if it wasn't made right, but if made right the flavor is supposed to be really mild.
One of my favorite snacks is marinated mushrooms. I love marinated mushrooms, I can't get enough of them.... _________________ Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return - Leonardo Da Vinci |

Normally I hate mushrooms, but at a local Chinese restaurant, I've become almost addicted to stuffed mushrooms, when they're made right. And I love seafood, so I would definitely try lutefisk if the restaurant came with a good recommendation. One of the best fishes I've ever eaten was some Cajun flavored Tilapia. I've only had tilapia once, because it was more expensive than what I normally get, but it looks delicious every time I see it. _________________ I use logic. Deal with it.

I have these hotdogs that when you cook them without slicing slits into them, they sound like crying babies because of escaping air.
It's really weird. _________________ Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return - Leonardo Da Vinci |

That is weird...
I love to sink my teeth into a good croque monsieur. It's a type of French sandwich. Pretty much a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with Dijon mustard. _________________ I use logic. Deal with it.

My newest bathroom reader has a whole section on really weird foods, there's a stew with vegetables and squirrel brains in Kentucky for instance, and in another book the Japanese had invented such wierd icecream flavors like eel, shark, and horseradish (who the heck would eat eel flavored ice cream ) _________________ Iseathielos Adismal, the green, blue, and yellow Dragon. There was this restaurant that combined totally unexpected foods into meals. I forget what it was, but something like banana fish, or chocolate steak. _________________ Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return - Leonardo Da Vinci |
