Well he's usually open to questions, right now I asked him what his name was and he seemed to say something along the lines of Matroa'si (Ma-trose-eye), though I'm not sure if I gave something of my mind's creation a name or I got the name of my spirit guide.

I then asked him how he could have that same if he appears to me as an Asian guy and he stated he wasn't Asian and that the name is more along the lines of Dragons...

If he is a spirit guide who tells a bit of truth then....wait a minute....that means he would be right when he told me I was a Dragon.

I just don't have much knowledge of how spirit guides work, are they usually persistant voices in someone's head at times?

I don't know how all of them work, but Krys is most active in my dreams and meditations. He still talks to me in the daytime, often like this little nudge in the back of my mind, followed by thoughts that I can just tell aren't my own.

I think spirit guides are pretty individual experiences: the way one spirit guide makes themselves known likely won't be the same as another.

While I have absolutely no contact with my guide in dreams, earlier in my awakening my guide, Ulara, was more like a regular spirit. I could sense her presence near me and see her in my mind's eye, and while she does actually talk, I don't hear her with my physical ears; I heard her clearly in my mind.

That sounds sort of like how Krys presented himself to me when I was a kid. I could see him the same way I see some ghosts, not physically, but, as salaiek said, with my mind's eye. Now, while I still feel his presence, I can no longer see him outside of my dreams. I've begun to rely more on those nudges to get me to pay attention to him when I'm awake than actual visions.

If that voice in my head was a spirit guide I would've only seen and heard him in my head, not in real world surroundings or even in dreams, once when I was half asleep/half awake I did see some sort of Asian looking guy at the end of my bed but only for a second..

Well, the voice is telling me now he's a spirit guide and was waiting for the right moment to speak out to me, I guess that time was when I found I felt I was a Dragon. He says something like "you haven't noticed" or something
