Well, I've had a few fun email in my time, but my favorite / most memorable came to me durring my first week online. We had just gotten the new computer and figured out how to use a good old modem. In my new account that I was sure no one had yet. Anyway, it went something like this:
TO: my old email accont
FROM: God@heaven (no .com, .org, .gov or anything)
RE: (left completely blank)
BODY:
(in the body was roughly a large paragraph of ascii characters. You know stuff that looks like wingdings and such. It was really weird.)
I tried to reply to the email, but the mailer deamon returned it. So I kept it for almost a year trying to figure it out almost like a hobby and such. But far as I could tell, it was just gibberish. Very strange. Nothing like that has happened to me since then. _________________ Soar high,

Your being emailed by god dude!!! Awesome!!! Well I had something kinda like this happen. I had some sort of popup come up on my site and when I tried to close it suddenly this thing came up saying "Wait do not close out yet! there may be someone online looking for you! there is an agent standing by to talk to you 'accept?" Ok now of course with me curiosity got the best of me and I clicked "yes". As soon as I did this this chatbox popped up and this lady with a username of mary started trying to talk to me. At first I thought it was a bot cause she kept repeating the "someone may be looking for YOU!" so then I asked "are you a real person?" and she said YES! Ok just a second (exuse the symbols but) o_O<!!!? Then I was like duuuuude!!!! This woman works for a company where she is supposed to sit there and TALK to people!!!!!! WHOA!!! Then of course I said something about how they must be pretty old freinds if their looking for me and she dissapeared...
(strange eh?) |

I received a spam entitled "Dont let substantial dedt get to you". I took one look at the misspelling in the title and just HAD to grin. My anticipation wasn't to be disappointed either. Here's the content.

You could also just give out your address and bank info to the "Prince" who just emailed me looking for help in moving his loot. Unfortunatly I can't remember his name since I already deleted that email... _________________ "People who are easily offended need to be offended more often."

Ah yes, the infamous "Nigerian Bank Account" format. Not to be confused with the equally-infamous "Spanish Prisoner" format that dates back as far as 1588. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Prisoner _________________ The statement below this one is false.

My favourite version of that one is the Star Wars spoof version that was circulating a few years back. _________________ To the moon!

Now this is just weird... I got an e-mail for certain prescription drugs (which I won't name for censoring reasons; THAT should be a big clue). And it looks like it was written in Leetspeak! |_ | |< 3 T |-| | 5. (translation: L I K E T H I S) And below the ad was what looks like a paragraph someone cut out of a sci-fi fanfic. This is even weirder than those "Sell Your Liver To An Elderly Person" ads I used to get. _________________ The statement below this one is false.
