Has anyone gotten any mindblowingly outrageous scams in their email or in whatever mail they use? Because I got the idea for this thread from a recent junk letter I got today from an imaginary company that neither you nor I have ever heard of, “Prascrptions Inc.” Yes, the misspelling was intentional on my part; that’s the actual name of the company. In the letter (which was signed by someone who was most likely not a doctor), I was told that my prescription to a certain drug that I don’t use (here’s a hint: it’s legal, but saying which drug it is would be against the community ettiquette) had run out and the only way to get a refill was to tell them my pin number. On top of that, the spelling and grammar were just awful. The worse misspelling was probably the word “medcinane”. I was laughing so hard and loud that the cats are now utterly terrified of me.
Other junk spam-mails I’ve gotten over the years:
1. Something I didn’t open, but was labeled “Join the movement, overthrow China today!” Wtf?
2. Several requests from many different addresses (they looked like keyboard-pounding) asking me to donate/sell my liver to an elderly person. No thanks, I have plans to continue EATING for the remainder of my life.
3. Suggestions to improve myself in certain ways, that I won’t specify here. Use your imagination. Hmm. On second thought, don’t.
4. Car advertisements, home loans, credit card salesmen, etc.
5. A flaming hatemail from my sixth-grade math teacher. Long story.
6. And OF COURSE I can’t leave out the infamous “Nigerian Bank Account” thingie that we’re all so familiar with!
Anyone recall ever getting hilariously-stupid mail, from pathetic attempts to sell you stuff or steal your identity, to dumb surveys, to clueless comments? Or better yet, a website where people talk about the kind of junk they’ve gotten? Because I haven’t laughed so hard at a simple email in a very long time and I want more! _________________ The statement below this one is false.

I'm not aware of any stupid mail I have gotton, perhaps because I don't use my email much.
But that is some dumb mail, it's part of life having an email account, you sometimes get spam. _________________ Iseathielos Adismal, the green, blue, and yellow Dragon. This Dragon is me and what I believe myself to be, it is reality for me. |

I got an e-mail that started with the following line:
I am Larisa Sosnitskaya and I represent to Mikhail Khodorkovsky the
Richest man in Russia...
I don't need to mention the rest.
I often see paypal and ebay scams that link to a website at a .ru domain. _________________ Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return - Leonardo Da Vinci |

| Well, I've gotten emails wanting to sell me drugs to *ahem* "enhance" a certain part of the anatomy that I don't have. (Hint: I'm a girl, so you figure out what I mean.) |

Always love those ones for the exact same reason.
Here's an oldie but a goodie I recieved. Sorry about the length:
As we know different items have been studied in
detail with pages and pages of documentation. Such as
light, chemicals, atoms, electricity, water, soil,
weather, the atmosphere, and the magnetic field.
The decay of the earth's magnetic field. A some what
different, but very important, geochronimeter is based
on the strength of the magnetic field. The evidence is
found in a remarkable study by Dr. Thomas G. Barnes,
Professor of physics at the University of Texas in El
Paso.1 Dr. Barnes is author of many papers in the
fields of atmospheric physics and a widely used
college textbook on electricity and magnetism. He has
pointed out that the strength of the magnetic field
(that is, its magnetic moment) has been measured
carefully all over the world for 140 years, and also
has shown, through analytical and statistical studies,
that it has been decaying exponentially during that
period with a most probable half-life of 1,400 years.
This would mean that the magnetic field was twice as
strong 1,400 years ago than it is now, four times as
strong 2,800 years ago, eight times as strong 4,200
years ago, sixteen times as strong 5,600 years ago.
Only 7,000 years ago it must have been 32 time as
strong. But, it is almost inconceivable that it ever
could have been much stronger than this. Even at
10,000 years ago, the earths would have a magnetic
field as strong as that of a magnetic star! This is
highly improbable to say the least.
Magnetic stars have thermonuclear processes with
which to establish and maintain magnetic fields of
such strength, but the earth has no such source. Dr.
Barnes shows beyond reasonable question that the only
possible source for the earth's magnet must be free
circulating electric currents in the earth's iron
core. Electric currents, however, must flow against
resistance, such resistance generates heat, which is
then dissipated through the surrounding medium and
lost. Such currents must gradually decay because of
this heat loss and this, in turn, accounts for the
decay of its induced magnetic field.
Direct measurements of the earth's magnetic field
over the past 140 years show a steady and rapid
decline in its strength. This decay pattern is
consistent with the theoretical view that there is an
electrical current inside the earth which produces the
magnetic field. If this is correct, then just 20,000
years ago the electrical current would have been so
vast that th earth's structure could not have survive
the heat produced. This implies that the earth could
not be older than 20,000 years.1
Also, the question could be asked, "does not the
magnetic field reverse itself?" Some scientist say
this, that the earth's magnetic field reverses itself
every 700,000 years. But, at the present rate of decay
ran backwards the crushing force of the magnetic field
would pulverize the earth in less than 300,000 years.
(Let alone the distruction of the earth's crust due to
the heat produced by the electic currents) The magetic
field would never reach 700,000 years. For the
magnetic field to have the capability to reverse
itself, it must have the mechanics to do so (a
dynamo). There isn't any known mechanics (dynamo).
There isn't any scientific evidence that shows that
such a dynamo exists.
Thus, 10,000 years seems to be an outside limit for
the age of the earth, based on the present decay of
its magnetic field. Any objection to this conclusion
must be based on rejection of the uniformitarian
assumption which evolutionists wish to retain and
employ on any process from which they can thereby
derive a great age for the earth.
Take time to consider what youve read, because
there are plenty more evidences supporting a young
earth. With evidences of a young earth then the
origins of life as we know it, was created by the God
of the Bible. If the earth is young, then the
possibility of the existence of God is true. If God
exist, then we are accountable to Him owing a debt for
our choices and actions that is impossible for us to
pay. The Bible says: "In the beginning GOD created the
heavens and the earth." The Bible teaches that man
rebelled against GOD bringing death upon men. When God
created man He placed him in a garden called Eden,
everything was perfect, no crime, no sickness, no
suffering and no death. God said: "The Lord commanded
the man saying 'of every tree of the garden you may
freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you
eat of it you shall surely die.'" God gave man only
one rule, when man ate the forbidden fruit from the
tree of knowledge of good and evil, his act was
rebellion against God, bringing sin, death and the
rest into the world and upon all of mankind. "Through
one man (Adam) sin entered the world, and death trough
sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all
sinned". Even though they had not sinned as Adam.
Giving into your desires to do wrong brings sin.
"Temptation draws you away by your desires and when
desire is worked out then sin is brought about. When
sin is complete death is the result". When we sin we
fall short of what God originally intended. "For all
have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD."
Because sin entered the world, so did death. It is
still one death per person, but after this we will
face judgment before God. "It is appointed unto men
once to die, after this the judgment." Everyone will
bow before God and give an account for how we lived
our life on earth. "I live says the Lord, so that
every knee shall bow to Me and every tongue shall
confess to GOD." "So, then, each of us shall give
account of himself to GOD." Death is the penalty for
sin, but God also has a free gift for us if we receive
it. "For the penalty of sin is death but the free gift
of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our
Lord." You may think to yourself; I have lots of time
to consider these things, do not count on God to be
slack when it comes to His dealing with man. "The Lord
is not slack concerning His promise as some count
slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing
that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance." Because of sin we owe a debt we can not
pay. GOD in HIS love, grace, and mercy paid the debt
by sending HIS Son Christ Jesus to provide the payment
for the debt. "For GOD so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son (To die on the cross to pay for
our sins), that whoever believes on Him should not
perish (from judgment), but have everlasting life."
"While we were yet still sinners God demonstrated His
love toward us by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die
for us." He died in our place taking our judgment upon
Himself, so that we can be free from the debt we owe.
"For by grace you are saved through faith; and that
not of yourself: it is a gift of God: Not of works,
lest any man should boast." Salvation is not by being
good enough, or doing enough good works, nor what
religion you follow, it is only by the Grace of God
through the faith He will give you. Because of what
Jesus did on the cross no one is held responsible fore
there sin, only what you do with Jesus. Salvation is a
free gift by grace given by God. Faith is the ability
given by God for you to receive or accept the free
gift He has given. A free gift not received cannot be
enjoyed. Heaven and hell are real places, what you do
with Jesus Christ will determine which of these two
will be your home for all eternity. Not believing in
heaven, hell, or Jesus Christ will not effect the
reality of their existence. It will only effect your
destiny for all eternity. Heaven or hell, which will
it be? If you repent from your sin and receive the
grace of Jesus as Lord and Savior, into your heart,
you go to heaven. If you reject Him you go to hell.
Because You are the one that must decide to accept or
reject GODs provision of grace through HIS Son for
you. GOD has chosen you in Christ, but you must return
it and also choose Him also today? Will you make the
choice to repent from your sin and receive Jesus as
Lord and Savior? Do it today, do not wait.
Not believing in God the Father, the Son (Jesus),
the Holy Spirit, Creation, Judgment, Heaven or Hell
nor calling them a fantasy in no way make them
non-existent, nor go away, they simply exist. Their
existence is not predicated upon someone's belief in
them. Just as your existence does not depend upon
someone's belief in you. Your belief only affects your
eternity.

Do you realize you may be laughing at Biblical passages here, if you laugh at the Biblical passages I'm not amused. (I hope I saw that wrong)
Not trying to flame or anything, just respect those who actually believe some of the Biblical things that email says.
The only funny thing I see in that email is the rambling on and on with no organization, I see truth in the Biblical content, but at least try to organize it, though then there's the saying that you have no freedom in your religious and spiritual path because all but one leads to Hell. (I support choosing one's own path) _________________ Iseathielos Adismal, the green, blue, and yellow Dragon. This Dragon is me and what I believe myself to be, it is reality for me. |

You DID see it wrong. Actually was laughing at... um... just a second. I have to ask right away who the heck SENT you that email anyway?? Was it someone you KNEW personally, or just some random moron throwing stuff at random people?
Anyway... No I think Rayadragon was laughing at how this person apparently feels such a burning need to send people fire-and-brimstone lectures in email and how they also made a rather foolish attempt to use science to discredit the Theory of Evolution. In short, laughing at the proselytism. It doesn't really matter WHAT the beliefs were, heck it could have been a demand to join the believers of the Flying Spaghetti Monster or burn in hell! The funny and laughable content is how foolish the person looks trying to force their beliefs on others. _________________ The statement below this one is false.

At Blenderartists not too long ago some bot or user posted a believe in God or go to Hell mini lecture in 3 different sections and apparently he or it just registered to post that. It was simply branded as trying to give Christians a bad name.
But wierd spam on forums is another topic in itself. _________________ Iseathielos Adismal, the green, blue, and yellow Dragon. This Dragon is me and what I believe myself to be, it is reality for me. |
