Nahh, I think most dragons don't even know why they hoard. But there just doesn't seem to be a compelling reason NOT to, and there are so many things that just beg to be picked up, like sparkly rocks and pennies. Many humans actually go through a stage in early youth where they pick up whatever they're curious about and just carry it around; I'm one of the few who never grew out of that due to my spirituality. _________________ The statement below this one is false.

I found that I am never satisfied with one thing for very long. I have many hoards. Collecting dragon figures is probably my worst. I jump back and forth between all of them. I thought I was the only one that did this..... _________________ Look into the eyes of the dragon and it will reveal your soul.... |

Well I have thought about this subject for a while and I have come up with a conclusion.
Why would a dragon need to hoard treasure? What would he/she do with it, it has no value to us so what is its purpose? The answer is that there is no reason to other than that it looks pretty and its shiny. I hoard little trinkets here and there that hold personal value, but nearly none of which hold any true value at all and would be utterly worthless in the hands of somebody else. So a dragon's treasure hoard, in my opinion, would actually have little to no value since each item is a personal treasure all in its self. Books are treasures to, providing knowledge to whom knows naught. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell. My wings carry me upon the winds. Above lies heaven, below hell. I am certain the hoarding thing is a human affliction. Like the flu. Or scabies.
Seriously, I have NO reccollection of having as much junk collected around me in my past life. The idea was to keep the place clean to discourage scavengers/pests/parasites.
But now?!
