you were partially right. indeed the bags were filled with ice, but they were left ON the breaks, holding them down untill they melted, releasing them and allowing the car to rolldown hill.
congrats! props to you for figuring that out, not many people I've told that riddle to get it on the first try.
heres another riddle.
this one is fairly simple.
A man is driving in a car with his son. they get into a car accident. the father dies but the son is rushed to the hospital. the nurses inform the doctor of the situation and tells them that he may need surgery. the doctor comes in to check on him, looks at the boy and says, "I cant perform surgery on this boy, he is my son..."
how is that possible?

time warp??? Ummm...ok, so...you're absolutely positive that the first guy in the car is dead, BEFORE the kid is rushed to the hospital. Wait...wait...something about...DAMMIT! can't think straight. Ok, say the father in the car was the grandfather, and his son was actually a grandson. So the doctor at the hospital was the grandson's father...that makes no sense at all, does it?
Restatement: The father in the car is actually the grandfather of the boy, so in the accident, he dies. Then at the hospital, the son's actual father comes out, as the doctor? Is that right?
