Ink bleeds, but we never use that to stop wars. What we need to do is think of the word bleed as being figurative, not an actual term like it really is dripping blood from a wound.
A hunter leaves his camp and heads south after his quarry. Some time into the tracking process, his prey turns east and he follows in pursuit. Once he catches and kills the animal he was tracking, he returns north to his camp to find that a bear has gotten in and eaten all his food; he is then forced to return south to his home.
What color is the bear?
