As I was going to St. Ives
I met a man with seven wives
Each wife had seven sacks
Each sack had seven cats
Each cat had seven kits
Kits cats sacks and wives
How many were going to St. Ives?
Little Nancy Etticoat
In her white petticoat
the longer she stands
the shorter she grows
what is she?
This thing all things devour
Birds beasts trees flowers
gnaws iron
bites steel
grinds hard bone to meal
slays king
ruins town
and even brings the highest mountain down.
What is it?
And what herb cures all ailments?
