Inspiration can be derived from anything. If the need is great, and the moment right, you can find that the most simple of gestures can change someone's life. You can inspire someone to do great things, or you can inspire them to horrible things. The actions you take today can have great and long-lasting effects tomorrow. The things that you say and do can determine the outcome of lives. Always be kind to others and never be critically judgemental. Be loving and true, for you may save someone from a terrible fate. Likewise, be inspired by the kindness and generosity of others, for it will make you a better person. Changes may not happen over-night, so inspire others to patience by being patient yourself. You never know what life may hold, so be inspired by the good, and see the good in the bad. Most of all... Be yourself, because that's all that you can truly be!

I especially agree with the last one. I am always telling people, at the end of the day the only one to be pleased is you. Be someone you can be proud of.

I read stuff like the OP everywhere I go these days. It's poison. Poison meant to guilt-trip the people that care into holding themselves responsible for the fates of other people. Poison meant to make them defenseless and easily exploited. Poison that clears the people that cause suffering of any wrongdoing ("Evil doesn't exist! You can't judge them for being misguided!"), while at the same time making the innocent responsible for cleaning up the mess.

After all, the person mistreating you is merely misguided, of course. You could save them if only YOU tried harder!! There is no evil, only people who come from unfortunate circumstances! If you judge their behaviour, the sadness it causes them will be your fault! Look at how miserable the person mistreating you is! They are only infuriated by YOUR lack of positivity! Things would be better if you'd just GIVE yourself to the world! And so on.

Remember always and in everything that there exist plenty of shameless people and they are everywhere. Never let them enslave you like this, because they will if given a chance. Don't do evil, but don't be obligated to be the light and the life of the world, either. Do good for it's own sake, but never let anyone hold you responsible for anyone but yourself. You can only influence people who listen to you and earnestly respect you. And even then, the ultimate choice is their own.

Dragons aren't mules. Don't let someone turn you into their pack animal.
