I'd say that the whole "horde" thing depends entirely on the individual Dragon. One Dragon may have a hoard as a psychological way of dealing with one or more problems in his or her or hir life. While another Dragon may have a horde some to mostly due to accumulating things over the many many years of their lifetime. For me, that's what happened for me outside of my gold, silver, and copper. I've an immense number of stuff in my horde as I've traveled plane to planet collecting stuff that interested me, and even for educational purposes too. I had created a dimension as Delechete to put my gold, silver, and copper pieces in. I created it to be able to access it any given time. Just in this lifetime currently I don't remember how to access it. It'll exist till my soul is dead or destroyed. It's not as if I like to be a poor Dragon, but I am in this lifetime for now. I can understand how one can go bonkers should anyone mess any detail or details around in one's lair, or even horde. I'm guilty of that. Especially the more Draconic I feel. I saw one post where someone mentioned melting the thieves and or knights that'd come to prove themselves. One of the best ideas I did to protect my horde was expose a part of it, while hiding the rest elsewhere. I placed random spells on everything of my horde I left exposed. So whenever some fool would try to steal anything of mine, it'd simply disappear, make their life a living hell, teleport them right back into my lair in front of the area that they originally stole my belonging(s), and I believe the grand finale of many other spells I used on my stuff, was a large blacker than black Shadow would pop into existance to harass the thief till my possession(s) were or was returned in it's rightful place. Just my way was the psychological warfare. Y'all probably enjoyed being more direct. lol
Have fun and take care. |

What I consider to be my hoard will be a rind that my father gave to me when I was 5 months old, before he died that's all my hoard has.....
Please watch you spelling, and especially your grammar. ~Namhias. |
