I for one don't care for english in the since of a class. especially because of my 12th grade teacher. All we do is write essays. If you miss more tham 3 of anything at all you make a 60%.
what is your opinion on english or any other class you take that you do not like. |

Provided that you're allowed to pick your own topics (though the teacher is still allowed to specify the type of paper), essays are very fun things to do. If the teacher picks the topic for you, though, it can be much more boring, though still not necessarily bad.
Actually, I only really started writing in my 11th grade English class. As part of a weekly exercise, we had to write a 2-3 page *something* in class. We were given a list of possible subjects (most were amusing of philosophical quotes that we could reflect on), or we could pick our own topic. I still have a dozen or so unfinished fanfics and original stories that date back to that time. I'd turn out five or six pages, decide that I didn't really like how the story was going, then churn out another story. :P _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |

| I like English class, Although I know I hated it when the teacher was nitpicking *again*. It greatly helped my grammar improve, so I'm really thankful for that. But if I had to choose, I think I would pass. :P |

That was one of the best things (I guess) about my High School English class. During the peer review sessions, I had to have the teacher edit my papers because no one else could find anything wrong with it (which says more about their ability than about my writing). _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |

NO, godsdangit! I'm sick of facing increasingly higher and higher difficulties associated with jumping through the hoops; why do I have to turn in a prewrite, a brainstorm, two outlines, and three (hundred thousand?) separate drafts of the same essay?! Let me just WRITE the danged thing! Friggin' teachers... _________________ The statement below this one is false.

Yes we often write stories, they do all this planning and i tell the teacher's i can't plan, infact my story get's confusing when i plan... i was in top then got moved to middle, they think it might be a mistake says my English teacher and i will soon hopefully be moving up again. It just happens all my friends are in that class only about four in this, i will be taking English as i ffind essays or KAT's (key assesment task's) rather fun aswell... beats doing things i alreayd know and they KAT's are easy because all the books we do about i've read and know the plot to off my heart, we are now doing 'to kill a mockingbird' i have read this and can describe it off my heart, also we done 'Buddy' this i read ahead (my class rewad really slow...) and i know i sound weird but i get extra work now for finishing early... just wait till i go back up, my effort will go down again. _________________ Their enchanting voices.Cry to the crystal moon.As light of silver, descends with grace. The wolves prowl restlessly.Calling to each other. |

| any one here ever heard of mrs yopp. not a single senior in my school likes that class because of the essays. any other time i like them but she always says the way i plan mine is wrong. apparently you cnnot profread as you write because this is incorrect and to write an essay you have to rite the body before the introduction. |

Realize that this is an international forum, and your teacher would need a tremendous reputation to be well known even outside of her own school, much less across the country. _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |
