I wish...

Last night I had a dream… A nightmare in which a war had broken out all across the world over literally nothing at all, and that no one in charge of anything on any side cared even in the slightest about why they were doing what they were doing. I woke up at about four-thirty in the morning to find Kali curled up on my extra blanket on the floor. There, easily reachable, at a time when I desperately needed to hug her. (As I’ve said before, she’s obnoxious but she DOES have her occasional moments. :3 ) I couldn’t fall back asleep, and when I’m awake at night my mind naturally begins to wander.
It’s been said that it’s all the little things in Life that bring true meaning to happiness. The small pleasures that add up to form something special, something sacred. If only there weren’t so much else to get in the way of all that… I couldn’t prevent myself to actually start PRAYING to something then. Not to any specific divine entity or force in particular, but to whatever might be listening in on the world. The gods? The Mother? Mortals? My self? No idea. Just a need to let it out to whomever might be able to hear, without even a concern on whether they might be able to DO anything about it or not.

I wish that people didn’t worship Hate itself as a deity.
I wish we wouldn’t interrupt each other’s sentences in a philosophical debate.
I wish humans would stop seeking out reasons to destroy each other and the environment around them.
I wish men would prefer to LISTEN to the wise instead of worshipping them.
I wish scientists and faithful would acknowledge each other’s right to think.
I wish there were no guns on Earth.
I wish human parents would irreversibly force themselves to love their children unconditionally.
I wish parents would listen to the words of their children with actual respect once in a while.
I wish the world would not fear death, change, the unknowable, the uncontrollable, and the inevitable.
I wish we were more able to make fun of ourselves and laugh at the harmless absurdities in our hearts.
I wish we would take the harmful absurdities within ourselves more seriously.
I wish there weren’t so much fear directed towards having to confess to making a mistake.
I wish the rest of the world were more forgiving of mistakes.
I wish we were less suspicious of one another and had less cause for suspicion.
I wish humans wouldn’t be too proud to admit their knowledge of the truth that other creatures have emotions too.
And finally, since Master hasn’t uttered a word since I finished the latest drawing I submitted here… I wish that my finest teacher, most honorable rival, and self-proclaimed “worst enemy” would open his heart once in a while to the possibility that someone else might actually CARE about his feelings.

Just for a while…

I wish that people had the freedom to give into their emotions.

I wish we would interrupt each other’s sentences in a philosophical debate. (life is boring argument and debates make us understand one another)

I wish humans would stop seeking out reasons to destroy each other and the environment around them and accept that they choose to it on their own.

I wish there were guns on Earth I'd hate to think of what we would use instead.

I wish the world would accept death, change, the unknowable, the uncontrollable as the beauty of the world.

I wish we would take the harmful absurdities within ourselves more seriously but embrace them rather then shun them.

I wish that the chaos within our minds and souls will one day show itself so we can face it and accept it as ourselves.

I wish that these wars would stop and some sort of compromise could be made. I dare not speak of equality because humans in their entirety fear what they do not understand

I wish we would all stop having our prejudices and differences between each other and see that we are all made of the same flesh and blood (not including genetics in this, just that we are of the same species)

I wish others had more strength in themselves to get through difficult hardships rather than look to ways of further harming themselves or others around them.
