"I Am Legend" was sad, but... hm... I don't know, maybe noble would be a better word to describe the main theme of it. "Castaway", though, when Wilson drifts away... *whimpers* That's possibly the single saddest thing I've seen in a movie. _________________ Happy Fourth of July everybody! To me there are different types of sad:
Most downright depressing- Atonement
Most tears shed while watching- Flicka and Titanic
Most heart-wrenching-PS I Love You
Most Bittersweet- Gladiator and Titanic (again)
Gladiator wasn't that sad... but every time I watch it I wish it would end differently, even though the ending is magnificent and necessary... _________________ .:. Nasroniala .:. |

I think the movies that are the saddest are the ones that suck the most. That's just sad. :'( _________________ ._> |

'The deerhunter' (so sad to see friendly young men change because of the horrors of war),
La Stanza del Figlio' (the death of a child and way the rest family handles that still takes my breath away) and
'Finding Neverland' (I wonder if the little boy will ever have faith in grown ups because they always die). _________________ - power is gained through wisdom - |

I still cry when I watch Titanic. Although I'm not sure whether to call it "sad," I watched Pan's Labrynth (sp) not that long ago and that's one that can hit you hard, I have to say. _________________ "People who are easily offended need to be offended more often."
