V for Vendetta rocked, though I don't find it particularly sad. Definatly one of my favorite movies. If you have a chance try to read the original graphic novel (my library had several copies actually). They made some definate changes from the original material, but for once most of the changes were actually *gasp* good.
And a friendly reminder to try and not post spoilers about the ends of movies people may not have seen yet...
Just saw I Am Legend last weekend. I'm still not sure how I'm feeling about it yet. It was interesting, definatly sad, and probably one I'm not eager to watch again anytime soon. _________________ "People who are easily offended need to be offended more often."

Of course V for Vendetta rocks! Whats there not to like? A nameless, faceless vigilante with sociopathic tendencies who parades about in a mask killing those that support a corrupt government for the meaning of freedom?
He has my vote
Saddest movie... i though Braveheart was sad. Philadelphia... Cry Freedom... _________________ â– Inquisitor Lavellan â–

"Little heroes" and "where the Red ferns Grow" always get me though that one in any format rarely leaves a dry eye.
tough i have to agree with many of the choices people picked out. "Pans labyrinth" was an incredibly well made move weaving the director and crew did a superb job portraying the worlds ugliness set off by the somehow no less ugly, but strangely more beautiful and surreal fantasy world reminiscent of brother's Grim. it is actualy one of my favorites.
for one that is thought provoking and somewhat bitter side of sad: "the city of god" it is biased on the life of a photographer who grew up in the slums at the outskirts of Rio de' jenerio, the movie is rather graphic though so if you don't like stuff that has portrayals of gang& drug related violence, or don't fancy movies about places where law might as well not exist at night then don't watch it _________________ say hello! at zahz's keep;P |

I agree with Pan's Labyrinth, very well done, and sad, because in the end you don't know whether it was all just her imagination or whether she actually is going to die...
City Of God! I have that recorded, watched a little. It's strangely intriguing, i haven't watched the end yet... _________________ â– Inquisitor Lavellan â–

I't's rater violent bitter in that it is set somewhere horrible and is based on someones life, but good since the person who's life it is biased on raised them selves above the drugs the poverty and the violence of their home to be a successful person, so it is inspiring as well, and movies like that have their really sad points. this one is that that is the world some live their life in, we don't see it because we are not on the inside, so it's shocking for us.
why is it called the city of god?"god can sort them out". the phrase has been rio's way of dealing with the slum, if I recal it isn't blatantly stated in the film and it doesn't need to be. you should finish watching it _________________ say hello! at zahz's keep;P |

first movie I've ever cried while watching was Pay it Forward. Second was Remember Me and I watched Repo the Genetic Opera and almost cried but didn't _________________ The evidence so far outways the reasoning prooving beyond a reasonable doubt that everything you've been told and seen is true and real. Braveheart was sad, but not in a tearjerker way.
PS I love you--yeah, I cried like a baby the whole movie
Last of the Dogmen was a little sad
The Mist was sad too _________________ The salmon sisters: bringers of justice, harbingers of the smelly fish <* )) ><
