Where would you live if you were a dragon?

If the world was uninhabited by humans and their buildings. Where would you, as a dragon live? I think I would probably live on a mountain where I could see the sun rise, overlooking a lush forest where I could hunt. I would live in a dragon community and not on my own. I would like the climate to be cool and dry but when it rains I would like it to be a thunderstorm! There would be a lake at the base of the mountain and I could sit there at night and have some quiet time on my own. My cave would be quite big and have a pool in the middle where I could was my scales, one wall would be honeycombed so that when I breath fire on it, the whole cave would be lit with a soft glow. I would have a bed of fir. My treasures would include gems that I could dig up from the mountain. My perfect home.

If I had Hyraxylos's body I would pick the most distant and remote cave in a cliff overlooking the sea, or maybe I'd just pick a cliff by the sea and make a cave there. I'd gather up tons of seashells and miscellaneous shiny objects that wash in from the ocean and deep down have absolutely no idea why I'd be gathering them up. I'd gorge myself on fish, I'd have access to all the wind I could ever possibly want (I think I'm a wind-addict; even when it's cold I keep my fan on in its low setting), and I could hide from whatever local human government might attempt to impose a regulation on me.

...And yet somehow, incredibly, that STUPID little cat would STILL be miraculously able to track me down and bug the heck out of me! (see my art thread) But it'd still be nicer than living in the lame city that I inhabit now. Just about anything would be, really.

Hmmm. If I were in my dragon body again I'd say It would also be on a beach with a redwood forest right up against it. My cave would be hidden well in the forest but could still over look the ocean. My diet would be fish and deer. My collection of jewels would become sea shells and polished glass that washed up from peopl in near by towns and far off cities.

If I was in Dragon form I'd live exactly where I live now. In the misty, remote highlands of Scotland. I have all the deer and reindeer I could possibly want. I have the mountains to use as my roosts and beautiful lush forests, perfect for hiding away in.

(Oh and the haggis are especially delicious in the summer *licks lips* mmm yum yum)

If I were a dragon. I would live in a forest next to a large lake. In the center of the forest would be a nice warm cave with a view of the lake (for shelter of the rain. Though I do love the rain all the same!) And at night I would lay by the lake and watch the sky. Of cource I won't be alone, I'm no really much of a loner If that were all here right now I would be very happy (Though in real life I would be bored to tears without my electronics or my trampoline)

[Dragons Creed]

If I was a Dragon, and no humans around, I would live in Yosemite. Being able to visit the falls without the crowds, get to the top of Half Dome without breaking a sweat, and going to the places that are restricted would be great. I've always wanted to be there in the winter, to see everything covered in snow.

Probably somewhere in the western portion of North America. Decent terrain and enough game to live pretty well.
