i read that if the planet's average temperature changed by 6*C that there will be drastic changes.

Come to Michigan and say that. Green house Bah! We have had the coldest winter since 1978 and record amount of snow.....

Someone needs a bit of a lesson on what an "average" is. The claim is not that the temperature will increase worldwide, but instead that the average temperature will. Some areas can get colder, but the warming trends elsewhere will more than make up for it. Besides, 30 years is less than a geological blink.

I just think it's a load of bull. I've heard that there is actually volcanic action happening in the north pole area. That may explain what's happening to our poor 'lil polarbears.

Any time some tree hugger or egg head scientist says that the world is going to end because of global warming it blows me away where they come up with their facts. By the year 2000 all computers will shutdown in the world due to a hidden massive computer virus,,,, Yeah that happened.
If we want to save our planet we do need to reduce greenhouse gases and seek alternative fuels. I'm in favor of that but Georgey Boy and his daddy own oil stock and don't want to loose money. Big business controls this. There have been major strides in alternate fuel vehicles but no one wants to spend the money and get it started on an massive scale.
