Well, I agree with most. Nas is amphibious, and her tail, adorned with frills and fins at the tip, acted as a rudder as well as a propellor to slice through the water. In the air, however, I think it's be used for balance and such. No fighting for her though... she's very fragile, what with her many flimsy frills and curled tines. _________________ .:. I believe that the tail was/is used more for flight and swimming than anything else. It acts almost like a rudder and stabilizer in mid-flight, without it it would be extremely difficult to stay on course and airborn. Imagine an airplane with no rear rudder and wings. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell. My wings carry me upon the winds. Above lies heaven, below hell. I say it would be suicide for a dragon to fly without his/her tail!!! I, myself, would NEVER fly without a tail. And, yes, sometimes they have a mind of their own... |

It would be weird to see a dragon without a tail. _________________ Beware. I bite! |

Imagine a dragon with it's rear end dragging all over the place while flying and you'll get a good picture. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell. My wings carry me upon the winds. Above lies heaven, below hell. Yet I must land in hell to soar in heaven. I am a Dragon! |

*sniffle* How come otherkin and dragons and stuff have all the kewl tails? Pheh. My "true" form from before this life had... um, I think either no tail or a short stubby two-foot one. It was used primarily to prevent me from being able to SIT DOWN which I didn't need to do anyway, but probably wanted to multiple times. In other words yes, tail envy. :P My current "true" form (no, I wll never be one of those nutters insisting I am physically something nobody else can see for some stupid reason, I just mean the thing my mental body image registers me as), being something of a cross between a black jaguar and a fox--I call it a panthox XD--has a poofy tail which is flexy like a kitty's. Can't use it as a weapon, it's no good as a propeller, and it's too short to effectively balance me even if it could and I needed to. >.< It's... for decoration. _________________ Happy Fourth of July everybody!
