Well some things have different meanings than the ones presented in the dream book to some people. Like me, in those books dragons are likened to something evil, something bad in your life, and such. But dragons have a whole different meaning to me (obviously) and unfortunately I have not found a proper interpretation to fit me.
Everyone is different and some aspects to people's dreams will have a different meaning or message than somebody else, which is why dream books have different interpretations for the same thing. You just have to take whichever best fits you and the dream, or combine the two, or possibly dismiss it as just something that has no relevance. It just depends. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell. My wings carry me upon the winds. Above lies heaven, below hell. Yet I must land in hell to soar in heaven. I am a Dragon! |

Master recently rummaged through my deeper memories and managed to unearth one memory of an old nightmare I had looooooooooong ago, like from when I was 3 or 4 years old. I don't think any other nightmare I've had has frightened me quite this much, not even the "real" one where Master was about to eat me.
The dream starts out from the perspective of... something. Some sort of creature I guess, which is slinking around my house in the middle of the night. All the lights are out and it's very quiet except for this occasional low-pitched growling. The POV doesn't give me any view of its body, only of the setting, and whatever-it-is trudges through parts of my house seemingly with no reason behind itself. Then suddenly it stops in the entryway, looks around, makes some sort of sniffing noises, and starts up the stairs directly towards my room.
At that point the view switches to myself in my bed, I start to hear something coming up the stairs, and I get this vague notion that it's not friendly. (again, bear in mind that in the dream I'm not even old enough to be in school yet) Uneasily I slide out of bed and listen at the door. The thing's noises stop right outside and I can hear it breathing. I grab something (don't remember what) to bash the creature with the instant I see it and open the door quickly and nothing's out there. I look around absolutely everywhere and even up at the ceiling: nothing. The creature's just completely gone without a trace. So I shut the door to my room and climb back in bed, and just happen to see out the window. Rather than the familiar view of my street, there's instead an enormous grayish-white-colored tooth-filled maw smiling at me. It looks like it belongs to something big enough to chomp half my house in one bite.
I'm too paralyzed to move at that point, which is just as well because then the entire wall of my bedroom bursts in suddenly (presumably whatever was outside smashed it), there's a lot of loud confusion, and the dream ends. I'd say the worst part of it all for me was how I woke from it in my bed feeling really scared, because waking up in bed was also a part of the dream and then I couldn't even tell if I had really woken up or not. I think I just spent the rest of the night staring up at the ceiling and straining my hearing for any more monster sounds. >_<
To this point I don't really interpret it in any way; just that I might have had a terror of darkness and silence when I was little. _________________ The statement below this one is false.
