Does a Dragon Show Off Itself?

As most(Hey, I'm sure not all of us are showoffs) of us know, we all tend to carry the habit of showing off as humans. Do you think dragons show off too? What'd they do to show off, why? Do they show off to attract mates, gain control of groups, add to their wealth? Is it possible, that maybe dragons also like to show off the fact that they have a great build and good coloration? Perhaps skills or wealth? Please post your opinions.

I can't figure out what to answer here... Many dragons might have been vain, but typically only to others in the immediate area. It's not like one would feel inclined to wander around the region broadcasting oneself, so it's a tricky question. I'll compare to one of my cats. If I happen to be within his vicinity then of course he's going to look pleased with himself and everything, but he's not going to get up from his comfortable seat and follow me around just to assert himself.

Heh. Then there's the other factor. Mating purposes might be something else entirely...

I think they would show off, but only to those who are near them like Hyraxylos said. I think they would show off just as any other creature would. Birds flare their wings and tails, lions show off manes. Dragons could show off their wingspan, their colors, the fact that they have survived many fights, etc. Also maybe show off their flying skills as well.

I don't think so. Part of the Dragon's code is one does not need to prove ones strength.

The shinoar would display. In fact, the whole ceremony of mating was a giant display, with the males dancing for the newly sexually mature female. Mind, usually the female and a male had already formed an emotional bond by this point so that for the most part it was just symbolism and ritual.

We also had little dominance displays and other such body language.
