looking for publisher(s)

I'm looking in to getting some of my work published into a hardback collection. Anyone here happen to work for a publishing company or have any ideas?

Umm your best bet is self publishing. I'll give you a bit of advice i got from a pro writer on this matter, stay away from vanity presses. period, they are not worth it and they often close without warning... two of the most reputable on line self publishing presses are Xlibris.com, and lulu.com. Those two come with the highest recommendation.

Well, it'd help to search by genre. And not that I can claim to know much of anything about these matters, but it probably makes sense that if you're new to the industry you'd have a better chance with the smaller, less well-known publishers, same as music.

So I suppose you'd want to search for small publishers of your genre--but, like I said, somebody else would definitely know better than me. I just replied because no one else has yet.
