Is every creature afraid of change of today than tomorrow? Are we truly afraid to change from crude oil to hydrogen fuel cells? What makes us fear so much about change other than change it's self? Are we truly afraid of the unknown... or are we just dull and stubborn.?
This is not a debate, post moved. ~Namhias. _________________ forever shall i be a dragon friend even though i have not met one. forever let the dragons live free |

Society as a whole favors constant stability with as limited variety as possible. The people themselves however are quite a different matter. Some are more mechanical-minded and loyal to regulations and others will leap at the chance to rebel against whatever catches their eye.
Though Master constantly urges me otherwise, I'd like to think that the human species overall at least DESIRES to uphold good. The problem is that too many people have clashing views on what's moral and what isn't, and not every side of a debate has equal say on each issue in each nation. It's almost a given though that if majority of a population call out loudly for a certain change to take place within society, then that change will happen. Eventually. _________________ The statement below this one is false.

Ehh.. that sucks. Why not try a question that people want to understand more? How about, I don't know. The meaning of existence? :O _________________ ._> |

No, he's saying that people are all miserable, wretched, irredeemably rotten, and there'll never be any hope for them to amount to anything short of wiping themselves off the Earth.
I agree somewhat based on our rather facepalm-inducing history, but I'd prefer to take a more scientific approach and note that when the United States nuked the @#%& out of Japan, the rest of the world was pretty grossed out. "Utterly hopeless" is too irrational and too absolute of a guess to be an estimate that I can take seriously, but it's within his nature to carefully pick out all the negative in whatever is being analyzed and ignore the positive. _________________ The statement below this one is false.

I can see why your master only picks the negative aspects out of a situation, it affects the positive. Say for instance someone punches someone out of revenge, that person being punched hates it, but the person that is being the puncher has a lighter attitude due to the stress release from that.
I will also have to agree with your master due to the history of the human race, sooner or later what the humans create will ultimately destroy them. Like the movie called i robot starring will smith. _________________ forever shall i be a dragon friend even though i have not met one. forever let the dragons live free |

But there's still a limit to how much faith and certainty I personally can put into that conclusion. There's insufficient evidence to predict the future here. HE might happen to enjoy his own misery (because he's just that much messed up I guess ), but I should point out that MOST people aren't really content to just give up and accept a certainty of defeat. It's not part of natural instinct to do that. If people are forced hard enough to realize that something is going wrong with society or culture or whatever, then they will most likely ultimately decide to get up off their lazy behinds and do something to change it. _________________ The statement below this one is false.
