Black panthers are one of my favourite of the big wild cats but I couldn't even imagine owning one for real! I think I'd feel safer just looking at it's beauty in the zoo or if they were in some sort of wild animal park where they could roam free but in some sort of enclosure of course.

A more realistic scenario would be for a human to move into the panther's environment rather than the other way round. In that case of course the human would be the pet, but then again that's pretty much how housecats see their arrangement as well. Laughing

ok here is another question about panthers for everyone here.. what would happen if the panther would react only to me and no one else at the zoo? like it always knew i was there and always sat near me or took a nap on my lap... it's hard to describe but is it possible that this animal may be connected to me in some sort of way?

I'd chalk it up to coincidence combined with confirmation bias.

And...

I'd ask what you were doing so close to or IN its cage.

well today i went to the zoo and the panther looked gloomy in a way and the park keeper asked me to enter the pathers exibit behind steel bars. so i did naturally knowing it won't hurt me for some odd reason and when i got into the exibit the panther just walked up to me and basically told me thank god i was here like normall house cats would do.

the zoo keeper acually offered me to come here every other day to visit the cat for it's mental health because shaya ~the panther~ was not responding to her keepers but only me. it's very weird yet satisfying to see the panther watching for me to come in and greet me.. they are thinking about putting me in with the panther without the cage so we can play... i do hope so... i don't care if i get malled by the cat i feel a strong connection between her and me.

hard to explain but it's like i've known her since birth.

well guess what happened today.. the panther talked to me mentally with images... as soon as i touched her coat it's like a sudden blue of memories and some sort of communication falled into my mind. a memory of a sign, then a animal, then her staring at herself in a mirror image. the sign was a green circle along with a bore for the animal then herself.. i cant put them together but i am thinking that she may want to eat the bore.. lol

but seriously if a animal can communicate with a human through a visual image through a mental conncection then how come no other animal is capeable of doing so? look at humans we have several ways to communicate... morse code, vocal, and body interactions such as sigh language. animals on the other hand have bodily communication and scenting.

but this one shaya... she is capeable of communicating with mental pictures. is this normal? by the way i am still seeing her every other day... i still find comfort of her presence. i wonders if she is going to do the same thing to me if i meet her again.

As a newbie to this site I think I'm gonna dive in here at the deep end and just go for it. The original question was how would you keep a black panther cub and your self happy, not if it is illegal and stuff. The answer is quite simple, to keep the cub happy you would leave it within its natural surroundings with its mother and to keep you happy!! Get a dog or a house moggy. Laughing Got to be alot easier than a full grown black panther.
