A strange dynamic.

Chatspeak. I absolutely hate it. In fact, people actually do TALK like that too, not just write. Please, people, "omg" is as many syllables as the words they represent. Speak English. Other things are ridiculous, and I use them strictly because of that. For instance... omfgbbqroflmao. I say that out loud to see how many heads I can turn. But I can do that, because I have an innate sense of syntax, and I never knowingly let an error pass from my computer to someone else's. I will go back and fix it; if there's no type cursor, I'll just backspace and rewrite the whole thing. It takes, what, ten seconds? Thirty if you're writing something long and notice something else a few lines up. I'm not asking you to remember whether to use who or whom, though that's a simple grammatical rule. I'm not even going to ask you to remember the distinctions between the verbs to lie (untruth), to lie (recline), and to lay (put or place). These things are not that important online, and some people have English as a second language. Most of that latter category are better at the language than native speakers, which I find truly pitiable. Another factor by which I judge people: whether or not your words are even in the bloody dictionary. Because when I say pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (also spelled pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis by the British) I can point you to the Oxford English Dictionary. When you say "omfg wtf its rly n thr? omfgbbqroflmao u hv no lif" I can say "Yeah, but I do have a brain, which is more than I can say for you."
