I was glad to be done with high school, but when I think about it, there were also a lot of cool / funny / happy / interesting moments. But I must admit, I can't really complain about college now, I like it there a lot too! |

For me, middle school was the bigger problem because... I can't describe it. Just that everything about the building and the way it was run seemed to spell disaster for 90% of the people in it, student and teacher alike.
High school was actually... Well I SHOULDN'T say it was enjoyable because it was after all a public school set in place by the System (blech), but I DID enjoy interacting with people more, and I was subject to a wider range of ideas about various things.
I didn't have nearly as many problems with people. With one exception of a teacher who probably had some sort of mental disease, the teachers I had overall WANTED me to succeed. Problem was that we typically couldn't figure each other out. I've got ADHD and a bizarre outlook on things which differs greatly from most others, and my teachers merely frequently failed to see eye-to-eye with me. For example, why I never took notes. I said that I couldn't take notes while someone was talking because I was too busy paying attention to the material. This explanation makes perfect sense to me but nobody else understood it.
As for problems with students... I probably shouldn't even use the word "problems". They were all too easy to deal with. Bullies are cowards deep down inside and I found it all too easy finding what they were sensitive about and confronting them with those weaknesses, though I didn't like doing that other than as a last resort. The largest amount of conflict I had with students were those who tried to proselytize the Bible at me during lunch and... well you could probably make a good guess at how that turned out. _________________ The statement below this one is false.

well, i come from England so our school system's are different from yours in the terms of years and such, we have play schools, primary schools and secondary schools, colleges, not to forget universaties.
But, our secondary schools are well, year 7, year 8, year 9, year 10, year 11, then we have a sixth form which we can attend fr two years.
year 7 is for those ranging from... 11-12, year 8...12-13, year 9...13-14, year 10...14-15 and year 11...15-16, then our sixth form are 16's to 18's i think!
But i'm just mopving into year 10, which means i'm turning fifteen soon...
i agree with CarmillaB, though i'm not the 'best' behaved students, and actually range down near the worst ... heh, but i get highest grades in English, French, Art, Music, Drama and well, P.E, and do well in other subjects like History and so on.
I must be doing something right to get the best grades in my classes!, and homework isn't my best thing.
But To the topic, i find my school years to be great!, the people are amasing (i get along with everyone), the teachers are okay, but grades are important, and once you've gtten used to the surroundings, where everything is and how to work it all, it becomes enjoyable, and the moments you can have at school are onces not to be forgotten . Don't worry about going up into your highschool, make good friends, follow CarmillaB's advice and it will be great! Take advantage of it whilst oyu still can, my brother, once he had left had moped around the house after a couple weeks because he hadn't kept in contact with friends, and didn't try to do good in school. (I'm buckling down now).
So yeah, in general, enjoy yourself, make as many firends as you can, do your work, don't be scared to ask for help in class, join clubs, gt along with teachers and it will add up to the best years of your life! _________________ Their enchanting voices.Cry to the crystal moon.As light of silver, descends with grace. The wolves prowl restlessly.Calling to each other. |

In other words, fun. You may have more responsibilities, but if you can handle them the freedom is worth it. _________________ The Lichen grows slowly, atop of a rock.
