Dragon Weapons

I was wondering, what kind of weapons are you good with? By this I mean, if you were in a fight with another dragon, what would you use; fists, claw, some sort of breath weapon, or even a man-made weapon, like knives or guns? For me, it has always been projectiles, be it a gun, a sling-shot, or even just throwing rocks at it.
But what do you use?

Well, since there weren't any humans where I was, man-made weapons are right out.

Anyway, we didn't have many manufactured weapons, but those that we did were additions to natural ones (spikes for claws, etc). Aside from those, it was purely natural weapons (claws, tail, teeth, wings).

There weren't any humans around where I lived...
I think I only used natural weapons; Claws, teeth, tail and that was about it. Maybe horns too, but those were on the back of my head, so I'm not really sure about that one.

Hmm.... sorry, I guess I didn’t think that one all the way through when it comes to human weapons. How about this;
If you were to fight a Dragon today, in what ever form you wished, what would it be, and what would you use?

Shapeshifting gives an added twist to it, though, but I still think using a modern weapon (rocket launcher, AA cannon, aircraft, etc) as a human would be the best bet.

Against a dragon in my past life? Just the typical array that high-order carnivores use on each other.

In my current body, I wouldn't fight back against a dragon. I'd probably just stand wide-eyed in crude shock, too stunned to move out of the way or do much of anything to prevent from being eaten or whatever.

In my days as Delechete, I eventually became leader of the Dragon Army of the region of space and planets that my family/clan had led and effectively owned as an empire. Because of my status and rank, I went to many planets. I believe my entire family to be bipedal Dragons as well. We were all able to hold stuff like humans can, only we were physically alot stronger. I believe I was the only shape shifter in my family. I perferred to shift from a Western to a Bipedal form and verse visa, but usually remained in my bipedal form. Because of my being bipedal, I was able to use various weapons such as blades, firearms, and other weapons. Some stuff were made by Elves, not by just humans. I remember using Dragon, and non Dragon made weapons. Kinda had to in war. lol We used ships, usually space types. The weapons my family and I used were breath, physical, and Magickal weapons. Overall, the Magickal weaponary were from one's own will. Such as one had to perform a spell, and or will their weapons to resonate at their spell or whatever. There was one ability that I loved to use often in battle or war. I guess you could call this a "Special Ability", but I loved to focus my Light and Dark energies into a shield, and use a combination of flying, levitation, and psychokinesis, which goes paw to paw with levitation, to propel myself at very high speeds through ranks and files. My Dark and Light energies bent space and time around me also. I was only able to do a few of these "line bursts" at a time before I'd feel very light headed and drained. But luckily such an attack would decimate most enemy forces easily.

Although when weapons couldn't be used, or shouldn't of been used due to certain rites, rituals, or whatever, we did use our fangs and claws, as well as our tails. Not so sure about our wings as combat devices. I know for a fact my wing membranes and the area between my wings were extremely sensitive.

Sorry if I made myself sound really grand or something. Not that I think that way, anyways. By the way, Hyraxylos, if I were to see a fellow Dragon while in my human form and I wasn't able to regain my true form by then, I too probably would end up being in shock, and or thinking "Awww!! Just my luck, too... on the one day I don't carry my knife on me!".

I'm sorry if this unsults you but what you said kind of reminds me of the Dragonback series by Timothy Zahn.

If I were able to fight in my true form as a dragon against another dragon, then it would be tooth and claw. I don't think blowing fire would do a whole lot since we both have it, use it, and are armored to the point that whats a little flame going to do. I personally can't recall any battles from my past life but I would bet, being me an all, that most of the battles fought among dragons were in the skies, and the first to fall wether it be that the opponent is dead or he just hits the ground first, loses. For some odd reason I can remember the rules of duels and most of my kind's code of conduct. Anything goes in fights, as long as both opponents use what nature has given them, and you don't have to kill your opponent, just ground them. I don't know about war though, as far as I can tell the only war was against humans, and a little flame would always fix that problem if they intruded.
