I couldn't put it down myself... Just wondering if there is anybody else out there with the same absorption.

I'm reading the Temeraire series at the moment, I'm roughly half way through Victory of Eagles. It's a pretty interesting series, although I didn't like the way the books portrayed the dragons as single minded creatures. In all fairness, I like the way Naomi Novik made individuals of the dragons later on in the series. I highly recommend the books to anyone who is interested in both dragons, and warfare.

Ye I agree with you it's about time someone gave dragons characters instead of them being stupid creatures who follow the orders of humans.
I have just started Black Powder War can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Oh and I can't wait til the new one comes out. Very Happy

I have read the first two books myself. I thought they were pretty good. I liked how the dragons could talk and have a personality. I think it's a great step toward the age of dragons. I want to read the third book, but I am conflicted. I found the advertising on the back of the books to be overdone as I found the plot to the second book made no sense and was still not sure what was going on. Another problem I have with the book is that I wish I could have seen the world through Temeraire. I wish he had more character. I want to see how he sees the world around him. Maybe I will if I continue reading the series. I do think it is a good series and I think people should read it.
