I've noticed this site is about drgons and magic. Most of us believe we are not human. Main point is, we believe. So why are there some that belive they are these wonderful creatures, but have no belief in a highter power? If they do believe in a higher power why are there people usually of wiccan or pagan practice? Those who are christian...those who believe the bible...whole heartedly, how can you believe you are not human? From what I understand christians call any belief in magic the work of satan. I know we are all equal, and I respect everyone's beliefs just as I hope you will all respect mine. I simply want to see some opinions.
Are you otherkin?
What's your religion?
Does your belief in what you are contradict your religion? Why or why not?
If it does contradict your religion, then why do you follow it if there is no room for your kind in it?
If you do not have a religion or are anti religious then please explain why you believe you are not human.
So I don't seem mean, I'll answer my own questions.
Are you otherkin?
Yes I'm a therian. A wolf in a humans body who can transform into a wolf through meditation, or astral projection.
What's your religion?
I am a Gnostic. I believe in a mother and father god, and all forms of white magick. I do not believe in hexes, curses, black magic, demons, or the devil. As far as evil goes, I think the only evil are dark spirits of corrupted humans, and the evil that exists on other plains of creation. Otherwise my belief is in nature, magick, truth, love, healing, and the true spirituality of brinining one's spirit to it's highest potential.
Does your belief in what you are contradict your religion? Why or why not?
No, this religion includes a fierce belief in faeries, spirits, and most otherkin. So a wolf, a therian like me is welcome in this religion.
If it does contradict your religion, then why do you follow it if there is no room for your kind in it?
I don't need to answer this question because my religieon does have room for my kind, does not call it a demon, and accepts my kind as a fact of life. _________________ Those who need proof, don't deserve to know.

Are you otherkin? Yes. I have been aware of my nature for 12 years.
What's your religion? I am agnostic/pantheistic. I do not believe in magick as a powerful force in this world. I do not believe that humans are currently capable of psychic abilities that manifest physically to a high degree. I do not believe in growing new appendages or physical shifting. I do believe that a Spirit is in everything and IS everything. I do believe in reincarnation.
Does your belief in what you are contradict your religion? Why or why not? It does not because I don't have a religion. My belief set is my own. I ask too many uncomfortable questions for any organised religion. You should have seen me at my catholic highschool. The religion teachers haaaated me. |

I guess you could say thats what my Gnostic belief is. It's a mix of a few other religions. I basically took what I wanted from each of them and made a new one that I was comforable with and made sense to me. _________________ Those who need proof, don't deserve to know.

O_o you... might want to look up the definition of a Gnostic. It's an ancient word most commonly used for a sect of christianity that believed that the true path to God is found through the individual. At the very least it means that the Divine is reached through questioning... I think.
Agnostic means you're not entirely sure what's out there, but believe there could be something.
Found a good site on Gnosticism: http://www.gnosis.org/gnintro.htm |

I took the name from "Gnostic Christianity" but I can't call myself christian because that entire religion makes me angry. So I just cut off the Christian part of it. I can't call myself Agnostic because I belive in a specific god and goddess and practicies. So I was going with "Gnostic" as a general term, *takes a breath* I see I should find another name. _________________ Those who need proof, don't deserve to know.

Well I could have called myself that...but I don't belive everything the pagans belive either. But fine, that is more accurate none the less. _________________ Those who need proof, don't deserve to know.

O_o pagan is a catch-all term for any non-abrahamaic religion. If God isn't the central figure, it's "pagan".
-noun
1. one of a people or community observing a polytheistic religion, as the ancient Romans and Greeks.
2. a person who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim.
3. an irreligious or hedonistic person.
–adjective
4. pertaining to the worship or worshipers of any religion that is neither Christian, Jewish, nor Muslim.
5. of, pertaining to, or characteristic of pagans.
6. irreligious or hedonistic. |
