Little known fact: Dragons don't collect treasure to look at, they eat it so their scales stay healthy thick and strong. When they lay on it it sicks to their underbelly, further shielding them. Another reason that a sole knight would be unable to kill even a hatchling on his own.

this is dragia leaving you with this note:
dragons are real.
Good bye

Another possibility but until there is physical proof of any of this it will have to remain a theory.

And your avatar is waaaaaaay to big!

Yes, this is a theory... very clever by the way... and yes your avatar is way too big. Please find a smaller one. Wink

Hmmm, it's a good theory, it's just that, why would they eat gold, gems, and other riches, just to make their scales stronger?
However, I do agree with the whole laying upon it to strengthen their underbellies.
I think the whole gold thing however, is so that dragons(Excluding dark dragons) can use such powerfully refracted light to heal wounds, regenerate energy, and use light to hide themselves from things they believe to be threats. i.e. use it for camouflage!

Their scales are supposed to be as strong as steel, how do they get that they eat metals and use it to make scales. And I think the gold thing is only myth.

Edited: Same reasons. ~Namhias.
