I don't think i truly understood it when i first declared my draconity, and now i don't believe it at all.

I understand this since I've felt it too, although not for very long.

I don't know how to explain, but It's like the dragon-me is unclear, except for those.

That something is "unclear" implies that something's there. For the clear parts though, I'd interpret this as meaning that either wings or something that wings symbolize (freedom perhaps?) is more definite or most closely fits the kind of person you are.

Does this make sense?

From a perspective of pure logic, no, but I still understand regardless. Cool My interpretation of otherkin (which undoubtedly will clash with someone else's definition) is as follows...
First off all otherkin have to be living. "Life" as I define it is when the three fundamental elements of "that which is" (matter, energy, and consciousness) all merge together into one complex machine system in a phenomenon known as "incarnation". Some souls are more particular than others in ways of defining themselves and depending on how they regard themselves (possibly influenced by past lives?) may wind up not perfectly meshing with the body, which results in an otherkin. The otherkin soul imprints the imperfection into the organism's mind, which in turn influences the lifeform into feeling that something about his or her internal workings isn't quite lined up properly, as evidenced by symptoms such as "phantom" sensations, goofy vivid nostalgic dreams, and out-of-body experiences.
There's another spirituality called therianthropy that might or might not apply, but I don't really know enough about it to make a concise statement on it. I'd say the wings you feel are significant, but what they're supposed to mean is up to you. Smile

Otherkin doesn't only refer to draconity does it? Am i Otherkin if i think of myself as being a human with wings? I don't even know if it's human I'm thinking of... It could be anything with wings, but a bird doesn't seem to fit...

Tentar could probably go into a lot more detail but draconmnacers is what you're describing. With the having the wings but the else being either slightly different straying towards lizard-like or "human". And it could be very possible that you were male in your past life. The soul itself is neither male or female in a sense. SkiFireYokana could go into more detail on that.

Technically, that wouldn't count as a dracomancer, because it takes more than just wings to become a dracomancer. Dracomancers, though generalized as humans/elves with wings, does not make them so. In fact, All dracomancers go through some degree of mental torture at some point or another. Also, Dracomancers in general, do not believe in reincarnation as a religion. In fact, I believe in God. I just believe God made us different.

See, I believe, that God has put in me, the ability to become this species for a reason. (Yes, I admit it. I believe I am a dracomancer.) However, I have not unlocked this potential fully yet.

P.S. Please don't kick me from this forum. These are just my opinions, and should not have any bearing on anyone else in this forum.

I am once again confused. Not too long ago you specifically said that you were not crazy enough to believe you were such a thing, and the entire idea came from a streak of fire that you saw leaping towards the sky. So where did this "mental torture" and lack of belief in reincarnation come from, and do you still subscribe to the idea of shapeshifting?

Leave that conversation for another time and place, for this is not the topic that was made for our argument. I'm just gonna say that I had already believed it, so call me crazy, I just didn't want to be the only one who believed that they were a dracomancer. But since people here believe in that kind of thing, I am not embarrassed to say that I believe I am a dracomancer.
