Agreed Ragnarok, that thing is huge and very creepy. Though it was nice of the staff, by giving Barry a home instead of killing it. _________________ Rest in Peace, Ronnie James Dio, from Mortal to God, Rest in Peace.(1942-2010) |

When the article talked of the worm digesting the hooks, it reminded me of the Mako Shark.
This creature, which can reach speeds of 60mph, and leap out of the water about 20 feet, has been known to swallow all sorts of objects, from old-fashioned diver's helmets to chains to ship wreckage. On smaller boats, it has been known to try to tip the boat over by ramming it with its snout. Personally, I find it more frightening than Jaws.
(there are multiple articles on this all over the web, though most of the components are to be found seperately. I just remember some of these details because I have done several reports on the Mako Shark, aka "El Bonito" throughout the years)
Here are a couple of links, although some of the information is contradictory:

It's not just the mako, the tiger shark and great whites are known for the same sort of behavior.
Of course, for a group of species whose main way of investigating an object is to bite a chunk off of it, it's not exactly unexpected. _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |

Something better a global epidemic is enviable. The new strain of the Influenza virus or Swine Flu has reached is way to New York City and across parts of California.
And so far has killed 68 people in Mexico. Where it is said to have originated. As of now about 8 or more students at queens high school have had reports of the swine flu. None have died from it but still under quarantine.

This is the full story of it so far.
I don't know about you but this is scary. _________________ The blood of that which you beleive run deep within, if you feel this then there is no need to doubt. |
