No it isn't. The news is always pulling this same nonsense with some new sickness someplace because it gets some sort of twisted pleasure out of driving as many people into a blind panic as possible. People have always died from sickness in large numbers; none of it will ever be on par with how many Americans die each year from traffic accidents.

Those are just a few pages with information. We have seen a drop in sales at my job (meat department at a grocery store) in pork. People are terrified, even here in the sticks of NC. However, we recently heard that someone in a neighboring county was suspected of having the illness, though it is not in any news report.

This site recently sent me an email, and in the process of checking it (I have an account on A-O-Hell, as I call it) something caught my eye. It's one of those rare cases where some more featherbrained-looking news actually piques my interest. This isn't QUITE up there with that 11-year-old who was arrested for DUI in either Arkansas or Alabama, but it's pretty far out there. Confused

Teen Suspended for Attending Prom. Yeah. Gotta watch out for that DANCING and HAND-HOLDING. I'm not exactly sure what this school thinks is supposed to happen if two of its members should decide to get married. Maybe they're supposed to consummate telepathically by "astral" sex or something. d'oh!

Excuse me while I go bang my head against a wall for a few hours...
