Ok, a few friends and I were talking on the bus and the subject of hate came up. One of my friends said that hating something or someone is when you want to destroy that something or someone. She also stated something along the lines of "I don't think humans hate, they simply really dislike. I don't think humans have enough strong fe to actually kill someone."
I disagree with this. Hate doesn't necessarily mean you want to destroy something or someone. What hate means to me is when you have a very strong disliking to something or someone and want nothing to do with it. Also, I disagree with her statement about humans not having enough bad feelings to kill someone. I mean, look at our history. It's full of mass murders.
What do you guys think? _________________ Blessings |

Personally, I think that hate is an irrational emotion, but that's not the answer to your question.
Hate has a definition, the dictionary states:
| Dictionary.com wrote: |
| to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest: to hate the enemy; to hate bigotry. |
The real question here is, when do you call it extreme aversion? How much does someone have to dislike something before we can speak of hate? |

I've already said several places what my opinion is of what I believe to be the culprit of 90% of bad decisions made by humanity so I'll just stick to the definition that I've become familiar with.
Hatred is a desire to harm another, first and foremost. But it's different from all other causes of desire to harm others in that a hateful person doesn't care about any benefit on their part. There's only a hunger for harm upon someone else with no distinguishing preference for Win-Lose over Lose-Lose. _________________ The statement below this one is false.
