Here's a quick test http://theoatmeal.com/quizzes/sound/ if you can hear that sound, you're either still 16 years old or you're so used to hearing high frequency sounds that you never 'outgrow' them.It also means you have REALLY awesome hearing |
I can hear it, but can you hear higher? Here is a test for you all to hear. Can you hear above the 17,000Hz tone? link

| ^ I'm a 16 year old guy and the sound fades out at just a little below 17 kHz for me. I try not to damage my ears, but it is almost inevitable nowadays. |

24, and I cap out right around 16kHz. Just as "16kHz" appears on the screen, I get this little squeak and that's it. Interesting test. _________________ To win against an opponent stronger than yourself, you must not be weaker than that opponent. - Takamachi Nanoha |

I'm 20 and I stopped hearing it somewhere around 18khz, if I pause the video and then start it again at that spot I can hear it beyond. I think that's partly because the human body tends to adjust to block out annoying noises and when it gets that low it's not that hard any more. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell.
