I was playing with my dog Whisper Very Happy , and my otherkin tried to talk to me and my dog started growling at me Shock , and she never growls, when I severed the connection with my otherkin she stopped, so can dogs pick up on otherkin?. Thanks for listening to me, I'm probably just going nuts Laughing

I suppose they could. I know that they can pick up ethereal beings, AKA spirits and the such. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that they can tell that you're otherkin although I doubt they would know what that is, just know that its there.

I don't think they can pick up on who is and who is not otherkin. It's at least as likely that they're just picking up on subconscious or behavioral signals that you're putting out.

Of course, there's no way to determine that without some way of actually being able to tell who is and is not otherkin, and then running a controlled test.

There's a dog who barks at me every single time without exception as I'm walking home from the bus-stop after a class. As I walk by this one house, some dog just suddenly jumps out of nowhere and starts barking his head off at me and baring his teeth, but never actually approaches me despite being unrestrained. Experimentally I tried walking by with my phantom form on at some times and walking by with it switched off at others, but there was no difference. Just the same rhetoric about how it's HIS lawn and what nasty thing will happen to me if I dare to set a paw onto the grass.
Disappointingly, no he doesn't get outraged at my tail or anything; he just gets outraged that another creature would dare to exist within 50 miles of his house. What's really funny is about a third of the time some other dogs elsewhere would think that he was barking at THEM, resulting in an endless back-and-forth exchange of "No, YOU stay off MY lawn!!! Evil or Very Mad " Laughing

On your otherkin? You are using the possessive? Are you a host? A multiple?

*I* am otherkin, so I'm not quite sure where you are coming from.

I highly doubt it.

Some dogs hate some people. Some cats hate some people. Almost all dogs love me, but cats tend to be indifferent to me. It's not some supernatural phenomenon.
