Website for the power of stones?

I recently have gotten into the powers of stones, suich as healing, etc. I went yesterday and got some stones to start with, but I am having trouble finding a good websire that clearly defines the powers. So far, all I have gotten is mixed interpretations with no common denominator, so so speak.

Anyone know a good site?

PS I know I just really need a good book, probably, but I have to wait until next month for that. =/

The interpretations are often mixed because what works for one person won't always work for another. It's your own energy and your own expectations. The actual stones themselves don't do anything. They're a focus, an aid. And you'll find some stones that you just plain hate to work with. Lapis lazuli and malachite are two of my big "ick!" stones.

How about tourmaline? I got a green tourmaline starburst cut gem on my class wring. I've heard talk of something to do with gems and a power, being able to transfer to and/or fro or the such. I don't know anything about it really but if there is something I could try with my ring I'd like to give it a go.

Power stones, haven't heard that since I left home. I had a friend who was a wiccan and she said that only those who understand their power can call them stones. To us non-wiccans we have to call them rocks. I call em what ever I want to call them. I don't think there really is a site that will tell you exactly what you want to know. Seeing as how all these people have differant opinions on what shiney stones do. I don't bother with that kind of thing because well that kind of messes with me and my music.

If you know what your dong you can charge stones. typically they are used as a focus point. You may want to read up on subjects such as Ayurveda, Reiki, healing touch, and similarity subjects.

two computer crashes and moving have removed my personal archive of sites relating to this and other forms of healing touch and holistic medicine, most talk of balancing ones chakras, and manipulating ones chi/ ki; meditations, and some also touch down on totems.

I do know some Wiccians, Druids, and other pagans who have spoken about charging stones or using them as a focus in what is, in so far as I can tell, a similar manner. Though such things are not exclusive to those beliefs.


There was also a "power stones" fad back in the late 90's. Where different stones were said to have certain influences if worn. mind you this was based loosely on the afore mentioned ideas. [/quote]
