I found this article:
http://www.weirdasianews.com/2007/06/29/real-dragon-fossils-on-display-in-china/

I haven't found anything yet that says it is a hoax. What do you think?

I've actually seen that when I did my own fruitless search of dragon remains over the net. The picture first off is not theirs. The dragon shown there is the recreation of a "Mountain Dragon" from the set of one of Discovery's shows on dragons and how they "could have" existed.

Second, I'm not easily misled like a lot of people out there, especially when it comes to things over the internet. So I looked for some sources of their info, where the so called "fossils" are being held, and their credibility. And you know what I found? Nothing. They did not provide any informations as to who they are, what their qualifications are, or even what museum the fossils are being held.

Through more research I found the museum that they claimed to have the fossils in and when I pulled its site up, it didn't say anything about containing dragon fossils.

So yeah, a while ago I already debunked this and deemed it another false claim due to the lack of the stuff I said earlier.

But seeing that someone has taken note of it other than me, I am currently doing more research, and I did find something that is perking my interest.

Yeah thats Chinese. I couldn't find anything the old fashioned way by googling it, in English. But in Chinese I'm finding all sorts of juicy stuff so I'll be on for a while checking this out.

That was a model shown in the Animal Planet special Dragons, a fantasy made real. I went back and found the video on Youtube, and i is the same model.

Mythbusted.

We've had so many topics related to this show and how it's "real", when the program states at the very beginning that it is fictional. The blurb at the beginning states : "What IF they were real?" "What IF we found physical evidence?"

That's a feathered dinosaur fossil, excavated in 1996 in Liaoning, PRC. I can't read Chinese, but I remember the images from before. Maybe this could be the source you're looking for?

At least there is some credibility to that source. I couldn't help but get a little excited at the new info I was coming across. I was using the google translator to read the site but as usual I wasn't coming up with much for validity. I just wanted to share my new finds and see what you guys thought of them.

Unfortunately, I think that might be a fossil that was also proven as a hoax. Two different fossils that were glued together.

I read someplace (don't remember the article unfortunately) that "dragon bones" dug up in China were confirmed by archaeologists to have been dinosaur remains. Those fossils looked nothing like any of what's described in this article.

Furthermore, the article itself is HORRIBLY written and absolutely reeks of academic dishonesty. So to begin with...

This explains then in a short simple answer on how someone managed to dig up what is clearly a European specimen in China: they didn't.
Since the picture doesn't match the article, that also makes all the rest of it look eyebrow-raising by association. Far from resembling anything that'd be published in a scientific journal, the style is unprofessional and elementary-looking, with roughly half the sentences starting with the same pronoun. The part that made me smile the most was probably the biggest mistake in the whole writing:

Quote:
The China dragon was a reptile animal living in the ocean in Triassic Period about 200 million years ago. It was an amphibian.

"It was a reptile." "It was an amphibian." Oops. Laughing
