Inspired by "fun facts", in this one you put odd facts that may not laugh you and can be just weird. I hope you know good ones
There's a microscopic insect that goes to ant's head and starts controlling ant's movements. It leads the ant to the tip of a grass leaf and puts the ant to hold on the leaf with it's jaws up to 8 weeks in hope of having a rabbit or some other creature eat the grass and the ant with it. When eaten by, as example, a rabbit, the insect gets out of the ant, grows and turns into a liver insect. It lays couple thousand eggs each day and the eggs get out of the rabbit the usual way, through the rear end. When the eggs are on the ground, they won't hatch if they don't get eaten by a snail. In the snail, the egg hatches and the insect annoys the snail enough that the snail covers the insect in slime. Through the time there's too much slime, so the snail must cough the slimeball out. And the slimeball appears to be one of ant's favorite foods and the insect gets into the ant.
Weird lifespan, huh? This came in a TV show that shows different top 10's of animals. _________________ Why do we avoid the rain? It feels different on our skin, it feels cold, but still, it's part of our nature, part of us and yet, it creates life... We don't have to avoid it... |

This one is definitely not funny:
"The most prolific man-eater on record managed to claim an estimated 436 human victims before she was shot in 1907. She was known as the Champawat Tigress."

for some reason I feel sorry for the cat not the victims _________________ The impossible is only impossible as long as the possible has yet to be proven possible

A moss sample were frozen 120 years in an Italian museum and when they finally took a peak on the old moss sample with microscope, they saw insects named water bears swimming around in full health. When this microscopic insect pulls its legs into its body, it resists radiation 1000 times better than humans, resists heat of about 150 celsius degrees, resists cold of minus 150 celsius degrees and can be "dead" for 120 years (highest time proved) and then come back to life.
Just weird how this insect comes "immortal" just by pulling its legs into its body. _________________ Why do we avoid the rain? It feels different on our skin, it feels cold, but still, it's part of our nature, part of us and yet, it creates life... We don't have to avoid it... |

That is pretty weird, Monarth!
I have another cat one (I have a million of these):
Cats have an organ known as the Jacobson's organ, which allows them to "taste" scents. Snakes also have this organ, which is why they flick their tongues. |

I know snakes had something like that, but cats?
Another one I just remembered:
A finnish tourist in easter island cut off an ear of one statue as a souvenier to take home. He got caught, with high price to pay. (I think he got to prison also)
That guy had some weird mind... In front of a crowd he just climbed there and cut the ear. These things don't usually happen if I'm correct. _________________ Why do we avoid the rain? Yup, cats sure do, except they don't do it as often as snakes. Also, I think it may just be big/wild cats, but I'm not sure. If you have ever seen a tiger, for instance, pulling a face where it appears to be very disgusted (haha) that's exactly what its doing. I think its called flehmening.

Southern right whale loses 20 tons from its weight on the journey to the mating area and back, because they don't eat a thing on the journey and are moving only 4mph on the long journey.
20 tons! It's an extreme weight loss! _________________ Why do we avoid the rain? It feels different on our skin, it feels cold, but still, it's part of our nature, part of us and yet, it creates life... We don't have to avoid it... |
