Wikipedia says it all.
In otherkin context, it's the same, although in the case of otherkin phantom limbs, it can happen to parts of the body that have never existed in the first place. I've heard a lot about it in the otherkin world.
It can be felt as a tingling sensation, and sometimes even as pain. |

So, what your saying is; this "phantom limb" is pertaining to the feeling of (tingling/pain) otherkin body parts as in tails, claws, etc...that don't exist? Like Phantom Feelings one gets after an amputation (like feeling an itching sensation of a leg that is no longer there)? Weird. _________________ "Don't mind the tail, he has a mind of his own..." |

Well I'll just speak from personal experience. To me that always works best when searching for answers to be able to talk to someone who personally knows and has experienced these kinds of things.
The times I have experienced "phantom limbs" can sometimes be quite random but seem to always appear around the times when I meditate.
Sometimes they are painful. Though the occurances of that is rare for me at least. Mostly it's just a light tingling, pulling, or itchy sensation. Most often centering along the sides of my back where you would imagine wings would be, around my rear where of course the tail should be, sometimes my head where horns should be, rarely my fingertips and/or toe tips wher claws should be, and even more rarely my whole body and the feeling somewhat can be related to a mixture of cauloused skin that is slightly wet (no clue where the wetness comes from).
The first time I tried meditation with the sole intention of reaching my draconic self, I got all of these at once and was quite overwelmed. Not knowing what was going on I panicked and went strait to bed, afraid of something bad happening. And as I got myself situated and comfrotable, I felt something like a large snake uncoiling from my leg but yet I felt the snake-like thing trail all the way to my rear and felt through it like it was truly my tail, but as soon as I realized it it was gone.
This is what I know and have experienced. If there is anything else you would wish to know I would be happy to help you out the best I can. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell.
