I'm amazed that I can't find a topic for this, but Anne McCaffrey has reportedly sold the rights to Pern to Copperheart entertainment. That meana, Pern Movies! The anoncement was made for her 80th birthday. Information is, admitedly, sparse, but it seems for real.

Not really sure how I feel about the idea, actualy, but I trust McCaffrey to have made a good choice. |

We've had a topic on that some years ago (as you can see in the article, the announcement is an older one), but is has been removed, because no action seems to be taken into making the movie.

Have a look at the books of McCaffrey in SDB's Library.
Visit the Library
She has written many books about dragonriders and their dragons. I've read them several times and will probaly read them again some other time.

| Well, it's possible that something is cooking, although no one can say for certain. If it were high on their priorities list, I think we would have heard something of it by now. |

Oh, I've looked everywhere since posting this, and I cna't find a bit of factual information on it that's not from forums. However, the production company does exist, but doesn't seem to be doing anything with the rights to the film...
Oh well. I would have love to see Ramoth done right! |
