Kittens have basic usage of their limbs from birth, and many *prey* animals are precocious about being able to walk. But predators typically take a while to get coordinated. Even at 2 weeks, when a kitten opens their eyes, they don't move well. It takes until 5 or 6 weeks for the "bouncy kitten" people imagine to actually be able to bounce.

And that brings up another question of why, IF we transformed.... we wouldn't be turned into baby dragons?

To go back on topic...

If the world does end in 2012, I beleive it will happen like this:

-2012 beleivers: 'Oh no its 2012! The world will end!'

*stops buying non essential stuff, economy suffers a bit*

-25% of the public: 'Hey whats going on, why is everything going downhill all of a sudden...I shall research it!'

*2012 beleivers' numbers increase, repeat untill 2012 beleivers = majority*

-Public majority: 'Who is to blame for this? WHO IS THE ANTICHRIST?'

*Turn random public figure into Antichrist figure*

-Antichrist figure: 'Hey, lets be rational, I'm not the antichrist!'

-Public Majority: 'So, you say, but look at what she/he/it has done! We must destroy them to have any hope.'

*war*

-Antichrist figure: 'I wont let you destroy my homeland! This has gone too far...'

*counterwar. everything dies*

...my point being I think if anything happens it is because we will be expecting it to happen, therefore we will cause it.

There's been a couple world ending landmarks that I remember, the new millennium, and one last year I can't remember when though. I remember seeing stuff on the news about a possibility of an asteroid colliding with Earth, or all our nukes launching on the new millennium.

I say what are you going to do about it? If the world's going to end it'll end whenever the heck it wants to and it's not going to give a rip about a small semi-intellectual race. Just keep on keeping on and live while you can.

Reviving dead post, sorry

That Assassins Creed thing is funny, because all those symbols are Human created, and doesn't mean anything, and all sixteen of those symbol you have to refind in the Second game and discover the truth, which is pretty awesome btw.

Back on topic, the 2012 thing has been researched by many famous scientists throughout the ages since the mayans. The have said something astronomically will happen, they just don't know what it is exactly. There are supposed to be major government changes i.e. end of presidency, end of government control, et cetera.

But nothing major is supposed to happen really.

The Mayans have always predicted when certain things were going to happen, and they were always write. Straight down to the hour it was supposed to happen. Supposably, they knew when their civilization was to fall, but never once stopped it because they believed it was their destiny. Now, the end of the Mayan calendar may not mean anythign significant. What if they thought, hmm, bringing it all the way to this point should be far enough for now, or maybe they just ran out of room? Just a thought lol.

If the said apocalypse were to happen, there will be events happening all throughout the year, catastrophic events that will slowly dwindle the earths population to radically nothing before whatever is supposed to happen on the 21st to happen. These humans and animals who are to survive, were supposed to be the chosen ones of pure soul and faith. These were the people who are supposedly supposed to start the new world. Sort of like Noahs Arch, but on a bigger scale.

Either way, I do believe something will happen on that day, but do I believe we are all doomed? No. Do I believe all of us will die? No. Do I believe people will die because of others beliefs and because of natural catasrophies? Yes, because it is true and it happens every year. All of it will just be blown out of porportion that particular year, because the media can, and the media will.

I'll stop my rant there even though I have a million more things to say.

Problem with that: The mayan elders currently alive say that nothing is going to happen. Oddly enough, I'm going to believe *them*. After all, it's *their* calendar!
