Dragons sometimes have been portrayed to be very strong. Are they very strong? _________________ Beware. I bite! |

Well I would assume that they have to be if their going to be flying half ton lizards. Gotta have some sort of strength in them shoulder muscles to be hauling that bulk around.
Besides that think about this, predatory animals are designed to kill. Dragons are no exception. Now depending on a creature's preferred prey, you'd assume again that they'd be stronger than their prey. The exception would be pack animals like wolves and lions where they work as a team to bring there prey down. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell. My wings carry me upon the winds. Well said Galadreil.
You have to ask if they're strong. Just look at one in most pictures, statues or whatever all of them had arms the size of maple trees, not to mention they're supposed to be as big as any dino we can think of. So I would imagine any thing that big would be a force to recon with. Heck even the hatchlings of a dragon look like they''d have no trouble taking one there size. _________________ The blood of that which you beleive run deep within, if you feel this then there is no need to doubt. |

| The shinoar were decently strong. However, our arms were fairly puny due to being badly positioned, but not badly enough to be evolved away. |

but also you must remember that some dragons aren't "flying half ton lizards" some are no bigger that the length of your arm, and when they lack strength, they almost always make up for it in brains |

That's a general assumption for any life forms in general where they're the smaller species. And it isn't necessarily brains but perhaps a toxin or something that makes them more dangerous to other creatures larger that might think of making it dinner.
Though in my opinion a dragon is not a dragon if it can't fly. At the most it's a drake, and in all reality a lizard. _________________ I am trapped between heaven and hell. My wings carry me upon the winds. Above lies heaven, below hell. Yet I must land in hell to soar in heaven. I am a Dragon! |

I agree there.
So, if we've establish most large-size dragons are indeed rather strong, then the question is exactly how strong do you estimate a dragon is? Strong enough to lift a car? Demolish a house? Throw a boulder? ..etc. |

I've seen dragons lift horses with ease, throw punches that break boulders, clearly dragons have strength _________________ "No hunter of the sky should end his days as prey, better to die on the wing than pinned to the ground." |
