For a second I thought this was going to be a speculation-inducing video about trying to puzzle out how cats purr, something that has eluded biologists since they first started wondering.  This video makes it easy to hear the breathing involved and does make it sound sort of like a flap of muscle tissue vibrating in a flow of air or something.

Listening to a purring cat is relaxing indeed. I love to listen to mine when they are purring, gives me such a tender peacefull feeling. Nice video.

A Cat purring makes me feel calm, and in my mind I keep saying, "Kitty kitty kitty" The creepy voice from fairly odd parents (Or fairy god parents), when Georgan pets his cat and says, "Kitty kitty kitty." My brothers watch it, so I couldn't help thinking about it.

It's a routine when I go to bed my kitten (oh say 16 weeks old now rough estimate) gets her loves before I fall asleep. She cuddles with me and sleeps with me in the covers with her head poking out looking at me happy and content as can be. Purring all the while.
