You got me there...perhaps the Pope could answer that, not me. I was mostly thinking of some agreement of all people, which is slightly less improbable then some "higher being" making everything better. _________________ If you can fill the unforgiving minute

In all seriousness, you would have to get rid of everything (including earth), and we would have to live in a void where everyone is just out of reach of the other. EVERYTHING can be used as a weapon, if you can think of something right now, there is more likely a way to use it as a weapon. _________________ You don't have to look no farther for a shoulder to take hold of and sob on. As has been said, eliminating weapons from the world is impossible. I look around and I see a half-dozen objects that can be weapons without trying too hard. And my hands themselves are deadly enough.
If you want to stop humans from killing one another, the trick is to change the way we think. Not to claim this is something easy or quick. Evolution is a slow process and, unless something miraculous happens, none of our great-grandkids will see a world without war.
I believe it is possible, but eliminating weapons isn't the way to achieve it. _________________ The Lichen grows slowly, atop of a rock.

There was a book that I read that was about aliens who came to earth and found out that we kill each other for no true reason. They then come to earth and take over our minds. So that this planet can be at peace.
Staying on subject, it took aliens to take over our minds for us to stop killing and attacking.
(Book reference is from The Host by Stephanie Meyer) it was a good book and I recommend it for all types of readers. _________________ You don't have to look no farther for a shoulder to take hold of and sob on. I will be there for those who need it.

It's been mentioned many times before, but it is impossible to remove everything that could possibly be construed as a weapon. Even paper and toothbrushes can be deadly. (Ever heard of shanks used in prisons?) Personally, I think the only way we'll ever have peace on a massive scale is for the weapons to become much, much deadlier and more destructive as technology progresses. Eventually, we'll be too afraid of what we're capable of to ever want to use them. It will be a peace we force upon ourselves out of pure fear.
Edit: Weird phrasing. Eep! _________________ I use logic. Deal with it.

It makes sense.
And I agree. _________________ You don't have to look no farther for a shoulder to take hold of and sob on. I will be there for those who need it.
