Best Holiday Stories

Everyone has a funny holiday story to tell, or maybe it's just a special event that happened on a holiday. Since Christmas is coming up, I thought maybe we could all share some favorite moments during past years' events. Or you could share some holiday traditions. I'll share a few of mine.



A tradition that my brother and I have been going on for as long as I can remember is who ever wakes up first Christmas morning will wake the other up, sneak downstairs, plug in the tree and watch A Christmas Story until our parents wake up. I remember a few times we'd make some hot chocolate and nibble some candy canes for a while and tease each other about what we got each other.

After a big holiday dinner a few of us group together to play a game. We play anything that will make us fall out of our chairs laughing. I don't think there's ever been a year without playing weird and funny games on a big holiday. If you haven't done something fun like that with your family, I totally recommend it. Even playing something like 7-up or Simon Says is a riot!

One of my favorite holiday moments is from this past Thanksgiving and probably is the funniest and cutest. My cousins let their youngest (who is about 2 or so) daughter watch the movie Dumb and Dumber. From the movie she learned how to sing the "Mocking Bird" song when the characters were in the huge dog mobile. When ever one of us would start singing the song she would sing her part at the right moment. I laughed so hard it was so cute and funny. She is definitely one of the family.

my story took place last christmas ...
it wasn't so much cute or adorable as it was people were getting ready to hold people back ...

my aunt and uncle *who i have lost contact with now more and more since this very incident* were getting all high and mighty *they have tendancies to think their junk pile doesn't stink* and going on and on about this guy *im not gonna say who ... because i really don't wanna start a war :S* and how he was soo good and they were all trying to transform our thoughts and change our opinions to fit what they wanted ....
they were going on and on about how he's had it rough and he's written books ...blah blah blah ...
so i ( i had a really hoarse voice that year i was sick had a killer sore throat ) took this into my own hands and had a screaming match *yes somehow i managed to scream at them, although it wasn't as loud as it would have been had i felt better*
first i told them to be quiet nobody else was into him * it was a big family get together that year *
they weren't listening and they kept going on and on...
so i finally sat straight up in my chair and continued to try and talk over my aunts loud annoyng "know it all" chatter ...
i said, " look lady, anybody can write a stinkin book, and anybody can read that book written by that guy, so it's not like he's a saint !

i was so red in the face and my throat was killing me ... i had a sip of soda, and went and laid in bed until it was time to open gifts ...
that entire night i was secretly getting high fives in the kitchen when the aunt and uncle weren't looking ...
when it come for me to open their gift i opened it and said thanks * gotta try and keep my manners here somehow* i got the cold shoulder ...
i got the cold shoulder all night ...
i thought it was funny and looking back now , i totally wish it was taped .. you tube would have had a blast with this one XD

call me sad or wrong,
but to me that was a priceless holiday that no one present would forget :P
